Default Wow...I learn something new every day!
So tonight was my first official meeting with my trainer..she made out a new diet plan for me and man it is STRICT. Like I HAVE to eat exactly what she says at what time she says. So far so good. I was shocked that I couldn't have bananas though, that is my fav fruit it is too high on the glycemic index. Oh well. Another thing that I didn't know is that I have been working out too hard. For my age and weight, my "fat-burning" heart rate is 128. Usually when I do cardio I'm up in the 170-190 range. I have a naturally high heart rate, so 128 for me is like...going as SLOW as the eliptical will go without it pausing itself lol. So I didn't even break a sweat. I was really seriously in doubt that I was actually doing anything to work out, but I double checked with my trainer and she said that when I work out at such a high intensity like I was before, that I was actually burning fat AND muscle. And that I will burn fat faster if I slow the hell down. My jaw dropped when she said an hour of cardio each time...I usually only do 30 mins...but an hour is nothing at the pace I'm going. Wow. So who knew working out didn't actually have to be work? lol.
