Default job that involves food
hey do any of you have a job that involves food? I've been umemployed for a while now and I just got a job as a pizza delivery person. I start the diet tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone has trouble being around food.
thanks

My job does not involve food but seems to revolve around food. People bring food mainly sweets (my weakness) everyday and about 10 o'clock start talking about what we are going to have for lunch. So everyday I have unhealthy takeout for lunch. I am debating on telling them I am on hcg or just try to get by saying I brought my lunch today.

sorry it sounds like you got it bad regarding food surroundings. I really think I can do it. I mean if my appetite drops as much they say it will then I should be fine. I will bring my own lunch.

For me, being around food doesn't bother me as much as tv commercials for restaurants.....OMG! They take the best pix of their entres. It will take commitment on your part, but you are delivering other peoples food, so obviously you aren't going to partake....I hope..... As long as your dose is correct, and you have your meals prepared and with you, you should do fine.....but you are in a mine field for sure!

I have cooked, catered, baked & entertained throughout both of my rounds. It gives me great pleasure to see people enjoy a meal in my home. It really helps that I am not hungry, & that I have willing taste-testers available.

Food is gratifying, but my achievements on this protocol are more gratifying. I know that it will take me another round to get to my goal; I don't want it to take 2 more rounds!!!

Fortunately, pizza in a box shouldn't be too tempting. If you snatch a piece, someone will miss it, & you'll be caught. If you are worried about it, get a job delivering flowers for a florist. Blessings, DanielleP!

Tha same thing happens in my office also. I just started to bring my lunch and didn't really need to say anything more after a few days. They really don't need to "know" you are hcg, let them see by your results. Co-workers can be really funny, so I'd keep it to myself and let my success be what they see.

Good luck.

I am a stay at home mom to 3 kids under 5, for whom I cook 3 meals a day. So yeah, I have a job that involves food. I just figure that if I can't avoid the food, I won't have developed the skills necessary to maintain weight loss anyway.

Chances are, after a few weeks of smelling pizza all day, it will make you nauseous and will be the last thing you want to eat.
