Default A Few Questions Before I Begin
Hi!

This is my first post here and I think I have done my research. I apologize if I ask redundant questions though!

Here They are

1. Is there an advantage to going to an HCG clinic vs doing it on your own?

2. I have aprox 34 pounds to lose. Was thinking of doing a 40 day cycle and then seeing where I end up to determine if I need more.

3. I really enjoy excercising. I feel better and look better when I work out. I have seen conflicting info on excercise while on the plan. Can I continue to work out?

4. What is loading or where can I find the information to figure out what I am supposed to do. From what I gather it is a period of time when you eat a bunch in order to prepare for VLCD, right?

I am really anxious to get started!

1. The advantage to going to a clinic is that you won't have to be responsible for ordering and mixing your own hcg. And you may get peace of mind from having medical professionals oversee your diet. I didn't use a clinic.

2. That sounds like a good idea.

3. Exercising is fine. If you read Pounds & Inches, it says exercise is encouraged. It is often repeated that you shouldn't exercise, but I don't know where that comes from...it isn't in P&I.

4. You can also find info about loading in P&I. For the first 2-3 days of taking the hcg, you eat fattening foods to capacity. That ensures your fat stores are filled as you begin the VLCD. Most people gain a little while loading, but some lose weight or stay the same. P&I says, "One cannot keep a patient comfortably on 500 Calories unless his normal fat reserves are reasonably well stocked. It is for this reason also that every case, even those that are actually gaining must eat to capacity of the most fattening food they can get down until they have had the third injection. It is a fundamental mistake to put a patient on 500 Calories as soon as the injections are started, as it seems to take about three injections before abnormally deposited fat begins to circulate and thus become available."

1. Money saved vs medical supervision. BUT, if that clinic or doctor does not follow Pounds and Inches, it may not work as well.

2. I would do the 40 day cycle or minimum 30 days.

3.I walked my dog 30-45 minutes in the AM and 15-20 at lunchtime. I never got weak and had no problem putting away orders at the office when my helper was on vacation. That included putting away 2 cases of printer paper and putting 5 cases of water on top of the open file system. I wouldn't try anything new or hard just keep doing what you are doing. You might want to cut the bread and a fruit per day after a week and up your protein if your workout is extremely hard.

4. Loading is eating high fat/high calories for 2-3 days. I have seen some do both 2 and 3 days. I started while sick and loaded 3 days.
List of Good Loading Foods!

P.S. You will love it! Good Luck. Best advice I can give is stick to this site, I found I was weaker when I ignored the site for a day or two. Having people going through the same cravings, concerns as I was really helped.
