Did you load while taking the drops? How much weight do you need to lose? Holding the drops under the tongue at least 3 minutes, not drinking or eating for at least 15 minutes either side?

What kind of drops are you taking? Are you hungry? What is a sample of a day's menu? Are you near TOM? Did you load for 2 days? Are you relatively near your goal weight? Are you counting your load gain? If you could provide a little more info, I think that someone could help you pinpoint the problem.

i am taking drops that i got from a homeopathic clinic. both of my cousins have the same drops though and have had wonderful results so i don't think it is the drops. what is TOM? i am not close to my goal weight... still 25.6 to go. i gained 1.8 on my load gain so i guess my total loss is 6.2 but only 4.4 from my original start weight. i was starving in the beginning but not anymore really. sample menu: 1/2 grapefruit around 10am. 4 oz chicken. salad with vinegar and cucumbers and tomatoes for lunch. dinner - 4 oz shrimp stir fried (no oil) with spinach and tomatoes. melba toast. orange. thanks for helping.

It could be that you are following a slightly different diet than the original Dr. Simeons protocol. You should eat 3.5 oz of protein twice a day, not 4 oz. You should choose one vegetable per meal and not mix different vegetables together. Oddly, little things like that make a difference. Here's the original diet:

BREAKFAST: Tea or coffee in any quantity without sugar. Only one tablespoonful of milk allowed in 24 hours. Saccharin or other sweeteners may be used.
LUNCH: 100 grams of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. All visible fat must be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. It must be boiled or grilled without additional fat. Salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed. The chicken breast must be removed raw from the bird.
One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage.
One breadstick (grissino) or one Melba toast.
An apple or an orange or a handful of strawberries or one-half grapefruit.
DINNER : The same four choices as lunch.
The juice of one lemon daily is allowed for all purposes. Salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, majoram, etc., may be used for seasoning, but no oil, butter or dressing.
Tea, coffee, plain water, or mineral water are the only drinks allowed, but they may be taken in any quantity and at all times.

If your total loss is 6.2 on Day 8, you aren't doing as bad as you think. Don't get carried away by the "1-pound-a-day" advertisements; women do not typically lose that much; it's more like an average of .50 a day. Then, there will be plateaus: don't panic! This is a marathon, not a sprint! For someone with only 25 pounds to lose, you are doing great!

Another tip that you may want to consider is to drop the Melba toast. It is nothing but empty calories, & causes some people to stall. Best of luck! You are doing fine!

From Pounds and Inches...

"After the fourth or fifth day of dieting the daily loss of weight begins to decrease to one pound or
somewhat less per clay, and there is a smaller urinary output. Men often continue to lose regularly
at that rate, but women are more irregular in spite of faultless dieting. There may be no drop at
all for two or three days
and then a sudden loss which reestab1ishes the normal average. These
fluctuations are entirely due to variations in the retention and elimination of water, which are more
marked in women than in men.

The weight registered by the scale is determined by two processes not necessarily synchronized
under the influence of HCG fat is being extracted from the cells, in which it is stored in the fatty
tissue. When these cells are empty and therefore serve o purpose the body breaks down the cellular
structure and absorbs it, but breaking up of useless cells, connective tissue, blood vessels, etc., may
lag behind the process of fat-extraction. When this happens the body appears to replace some of the
extracted fat with water which is retained for this purpose. As water is heavier than fat the scales may
show no loss of weight, although sucient fat has actually been consumed to make up for the deficit in
the 500-Calorie diet. When then such tissue is finally broken down, the water is liberated and there
is a sudden flood of urine and a marked loss of weight. This simple interpretation of what is really an
extremely complex mechanism is the one we give those patients who want to know why it is that on
certain days they do not lose, though they have committed no dietary error."

If you haven't read this book, I highly reccomend it!!
