I have spent the past couple days reading all of the threads about MSM and its benefits in skin. I also noticed the varying doses that each poster takes daily. I have tried to find the daily recommended max and minimum levels but could not find anything, I see that some hcgdieters consume 5000mg and more. What is considered too much and what is considered enough? I heard that it is water soluble like Vitamin C and taking too much will just be exited through urine or cause diarrhea.

Hi there, I'm in the same boat about MSM and its benefits, more or less. From what I've read, the effects are twofold: external use seems to keep loose, saggy skin (apparently even promotes skin tightening!) at bay and ingesting it seems to raise energy levels. Have you ever checked out any of the hcg dieters and their vlogs on youtube? If you type in msm hcg there'll be several clips showing up. One lady there, stephsuniverse, talks about taking 10g/day (I think. It's been a while since I watched the video)! My MSM powder arrived last week but I haven't used it yet.
Here, in case you haven't seen it, ShannonMiami wrote a post about dry skin brushing and MSM powder in this thread on 4/21/12. |
