Hi all! I have been having a problem with the sides of my breasts being sore. Not just "achy", but down right hurting, like the skin, muscles and tendons are just ripping!
After some research (knowing that I am not preggers, different pain), I deduced that my problem was an ill-fitting bra. Since I have lost quite a bit of weight, and still need to lose more, I just put off buying new underwear and bras. This was a mistake. Research how to measure for a bra, and take your measurements. Anything below 38 inches (under breasts) add 4/5 inches (to get an even number), because the bra manufacturers don't size correctly (36-24-36 is what women in the 40's and 50's wanted to be, so manufacturers made/make bras accordingly. If you are 33 inches, add 5 and buy a 38 bra. If you are 38 and up, buy your size. I am 39 inches and bought a 40). Cup size rule of thumb is one inch per alphabet letter (1" A, 2" B, 3" C, 4" D, 5" DD, etc). Don't let your girls get sore (seriously, it hurts badly!). You are working so hard to get healthy, keep the girls supported! |
