Default hcg and false positive pregnancy test
Next friday I need to take a pregnancy test to begin a course of medication....will my 125 iu hcg injection possibly give a false positive? I'm not sure if theyre going to test my blood or urine....any ideas would be helpful, thanks in advance

Yes it might. It will be faintly positive though, most likely.

If its a serum pregnancy test, and you have it drawn 12 hours or so after your shot....you should be fine. If its a urine pregnancy test (I doubt they would trust that for the purposes you mention)...it might be faintly positive if you take it within several hours of your shot. It's normal to have some hcg in your body, and our shot is low in comparison to the threshold of a serum pregnancy test. If in doubt, skip a day...be about 36 hours from your shot and get the level drawn....run home and take your shot. . Even if it shows up, they'll just repeat it if you ask....and skip longer for that one.
