So the hcg is doing it's job. I'm down 17.6 lbs in 15 days and I'm almost never hungry. And I am TIRED of eating hcg food. I have become really tempted to just not eat. By "not eat" I mean eat around 300 calories a day maybe. So I've done that for a few days. Usually made up of protein and veggies. I know this is bad...but does this happen to anyone else?

Well, I am often tempted to not eat my dinner, especially when I get home late & am too tired to 'cook' and not hungry. But until now I still forced myself to eat the protein & veggies. Since I do love fruit, I eat at least one of my fruits in the afternoon & when I do decide to skip the second, like yesterday, I just up my protein a bit for that meal. I am having fish quite a lot at dinner, since I cam eat that no matter if I feel bored with it or not as long as there is enough lemon & herbs on it. And u don't ve to chew it a lot, so I get down more easily than chicken (actually hate chicken breast, but its convenient to take along to work) or beef.
So most of the time I manage to get my 400-500 cal. U should try not to give into the temptation. U might get problems when adding back more food in p3. I know the food gets boring, especially if u stick to basics. There are a lot of great recipes here, but at the moment I just don't ve the time... Gesendet von meinem HTC Desire mit Tapatalk 2 |

Every day, I am actually working to change a habit of not eating until dinner and munching all night long. About 2pm yesterday I choked down about 3oz of meat but I had fresh boiled cabbage and a 7oz steak for dinner and an apple for later. I am finding I do better without the strawberries, which is a shame they are so good right now. I haven't had the toast or stick for over a week now and I am going to stick to one apple a day instead of cutting them all out too. I will eat more protein at dinner when I can stomach more food.
BTW, excellent job there. |

I wonder if eating less than the 500 calories has had a negative affect on anyone while on P2? My friend has this same issue. She says the HCG she's taking has completely taken away her appetite so most days she'll only eat her dinner and maybe a fruit... no lunch and no breadsticks. She lost 5lbs the first week but hasn't lost any weight this week even though she's noticeably skinnier. My thought is maybe the number of calories won't affect her but definitely not eating anything for such a long stretch of time has to affect her metabolism. Or maybe not... 17.6lbs in 15 days (Congratulations!) seems like it doesn't have an affect in the short term at least.

When you drop your calories that low, and trudge along, you are not on the HCG diet, and heaven knows what your body is doing to compensate. That low a calorie intake may be dangerous; maybe your body is actively digesting your heart muscle for protein, or who knows what else.
In other areas of the forum, people talk about eating low fat cottage cheese and the like. How about checking the vegetarian area of the forum and finding something you can eat without cooking? Maybe you'll be able to manage a bit of yougurt and an apple for example. I'd tread carefully and eat the HCG food, and not potentially do yourself an injury by not eating. Just sayin'... |

Yes, I have the same problem. I am often tempted to skip dinner, either because I get home late or just forget. I am often not hungry enough to want to cook, however my minimum is that I cook the protein and eat that. I have heard of people experiencing hair loss on this diet, so I am keeping my protein up to avoid that, (I even go over by half half an ounce most of the time). I eat extra veggies, and I skip the fruit due to the sugar.
Keeping some hardboiled eggs on hand, and eating just the whites (maybe one yolk or half a yolk) would be an easy way to get your protein. HTH |

I also wouldn't skip the protein. That is really important. For not liking veggies, well, try a smoothy with ur fruit and some neutral tasting veggie?
Since we don't know what skipping so much of ur food will do to ur hormones & to the re-setting of the hypothalamus, I don't think it is a good idea. Gesendet von meinem HTC Desire mit Tapatalk 2 |

I had the same problem my first round. I had to force myself to eat my second meal. Often it was all I could do to choke the protein down. It got so bad that all I could get down was ground meat (chicken or beef) because it required hardly any effort. I definitely lost more when I got all my protein/calories in. Thankfully this second round has been better and I don't have that problem.
