Default Tips for a first time HCGer - input needed
Hello All,

I did this plan last year so I pretty much know what to do, but my coworker is doing it with me (mixing her own SL), and I'm trying to compile a list of helpful hints tips, etc. Can you take a look and see what else I should add?

Thanks!

What you need to get/ what you need to know

1. Food scale

2. Bathroom scale that calculates oz. I have the Health o Meter Body Fat Monitoring scale from Walmart. It was $34.97

3. Wound Wash (Sodium chloride)- you can get this at Walmart or the drugstore. It will be used to mix your HCG – if you have it tomorrow we can mix your stuff for the weekend because you have to take it while you load - I am loading on Sat/Sunday and starting the VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet) on Monday.

4. A calendar

5. Make sure you finish reading Pounds and Inches

6. Do your Protocol approved grocery shopping

Some tips –

You MUST keep your HCG refrigerated. A lot of ladies that do it secretly put their vial/boxes in a brown paper bag and hide it in the vegetable drawer where no one looks.

It is easiest if you weigh your meats for the week, cook it and freeze it in baggies so you can just thaw and warm them for each meal. I also divide my other foods, for the week as well - except apples because I have to peel mine and then they can get brown.

You should load this Sat & Sunday. Eat lots of good (and bad - if you have a hankering for something) fats and things you might miss for the next 43 days. Like rice, or cauliflower. This is a very restrictive diet, so things that are normally healthy are also not allowed.

Take your measurements prior to starting - I take mine every Sunday. Weigh each morning and record your gains/losses on your calendar. Use a website like fitday.com or myfitnesspal to track your measurements, weight, and daily calories as well.

You do NOT have to get to exactly 500 calories, just get as close as you can while staying within protocol limits.

You do NOT have to use the melba toast/snacks. These slow losses for a lot of people and some people cut them out.

You should not be starving. Cravings are normal – feeling like your stomach is touching your back is not. If you feel this way, let me know and I’ll get some help from the forum I’m on

Drink water! That pink jug I bought you is great! Drink one of those each day.

Oh no sorry - I didn't mean Walmart brand. I told her to pick up the Simply Saline wound wash.
