Default Why is LIW the weight used during P3 and P4 instead of lowest weight?
I have read pounds and inches, but I still have a question. Why is the LIW the weight used to monitor when to do a steak day in P3 and P4 and not the lowest weight you experience? I know that most people drop a little more weight in the 72 hrs of VLCD after their last injection and before they start P3 on the third day after the last shot. So why is that lower weight not the base weight, why is it the higher LIW?

Thanks!

Because a little weight gain is usual in P3. You'll have more food in your intestines and that weighs more. Plus when you add more food, you'll add back some water weight.
