R2 was hard for me. I, too, wasn't really in the right mindset. I managed to stick it out, but I didn't have the type of situations in my life that you are dealing with. Certainly, it'd be hard to stick to this with your husband returning and getting ready to move. If you decide to go back and try another round later, be aware that hunger means your dose is incorrect so you'll need to adjust that until you aren't hungry any more. And I hope you know that exercise is perfectly okay, even encouraged, by Dr. Simeons in P&I. There's no reason you have to keep yourself from the gym. In going off the hcg diet, make sure you continue the VLCD for 72 (or 48 if hhcg) hours after you stop taking the hcg. That'll allow the hcg to get out of your system before you start eating a normal amount. I would try do do what you said and eat paleo style with no sugar and no starch, at least for 3 weeks. Best wishes to you.
