I have a history of Insulin resistance and hormonal imbalances caused by rx antidepressants which caused me to gain about 70 Ibs. I have since lost about 35Ibs before HCG but could not seem to get any lower with diet and exercise. My body has never been the same again and it has affected my self perception and self esteem. I was newly married when all this happened so it has also affected my marriage.
So my question is do people with a history of Insulin resistance need to be more careful on the protocol and maybe reduce sugar intake via fruit?
I want to get the maximum benefit out of this round and ideally will not be doing another round if I get into the low 140's. So I want to know now if I need to reduce my fruit intake.
My other plan was maybe to have 1/2 the fruit portions at each meal. I must admit I really enjoy my fruit fixes twice a day and really look forward to them. I think my brain/ body somehow crave the sugars. That said if needs must maybe I will cut down just to get through But if I feel I am suffering then oh well back to 2 fruit a day
I understand where you're coming from. I had a devil of a time losing weight until I found HCG. Personally I started out doing the diet pretty much as it was laid out in P&I. Over the course of time I have eliminated the fruit and the breadstick. I might have an occasional apple. I have found that those cravings and carb addictions have gone away and no longer have the hold on me they once did, to the extent I no longer desire them and have cut many out of my life forever. So my advice would be to get started on the diet, if you desire the apple and breadstick, then eat them, if you find you no longer want/need them then don't or if your losses slow, cut them out.
