Default I messed up for a wedding... PLEASE Help!
Good Morning All,
I'm also going to post this for Grammy's forum... I need some help! I was in my cousin's wedding over the wedding and I messed up my diet for 4 days!! OUCH!!! I wont be doing that again.. result was about a 6lb gain. But I ate nothing but junk and drinks were flowing.. My question is... Should I do a steak day today to help?? IF so, How much steak do I eat and which kind do you recommend?? OR should I start back up on my regular diet?? I take the drops 3x per day in case that matters... ANY ADVICE would be GREAT!!! Especially if you've gone through this!!

Much Love and Thanks!!

If you are in P2, do NOT do a steak day. That is only for P3.

Just get back on the 500 calorie diet. You'll lose the 6 lbs soon enough and get right back on track. Next time you have a multi-day event like a family wedding, take a planned interruption instead.

Jmmr...what is a planned interruption?
As the Queen of Planned Interruptions, I am qualified to answer this one! At least 3 days before your big event, stop taking the hcg and continue to eat the VLCD. After 72+ hours, you can go into P3. Then if you stop hcg for less than 2 weeks, you can just resume the hcg and VLC diet. If your interruption lasts more than 2 weeks, you will need to reload for at least 1 day with lots of fats. I often do this just because I start to waiver in my determination (or my skin gets too dry without fats) so I take a break to keep from completely blowing the progress I've already made. As long as you don't go overboard at your event and during the interruption, you can usually recover fairly well. After indulging, do a steak day and then maybe re-start hcg as soon as possible. This will give you best results. Sometimes you may need to wait until your period comes and goes etc so just plan it out as best you can.

Don't beat yourself up over the wedding gain. Some things really are more important than a few pounds. Good planning is key!!

Hi DuhPrincess, I love planned interruptions, too. I'm taking one in 2 more lbs because I need a break and my dry skin needs some fat. I've taken a one week break every round and haven't gained weight on them. I just eat P3-style, lots of fat, protein and vegetables. I haven't needed any sort of correction day...I just start taking hcg and return to the vlcd.

For anyone else who wants information, they are discussed in the section of P&I called Unforeseen Interruptions of Treatment.

I just went through the same thing for a family weekend, ate/drank and gained 4.5 lbs. I've done a steakhigh/ protein day and so far I'm back down 2.7 so getting back on track. A P2 steak day might help, if you are willing to try it. I ate 100gr of chicken around noon and then a 7 oz steak for dinner. That's it. Worked great and still going. Also, smooth move tea and detox bath to help get all that junk out of ya too. GL!

You did that in P2, ow? that would compound the problem for most because you ate way more calories than allowed.

Yeah more calories but the high protein and length between meals is the key to fat loss while maintaining muscle mass. Also kicks me back into ketosis too, so I know it's accurate. Done this a few times and seems to work for me bit everyone's different. Also wouldn't recommend this in the beginning of the round, I do great with more protein at the end of the round.

Going to a wedding day after tomorrow. Going to be gone for 4 days.

I don't have enough time to do a planned interruption (unfortunately I just discovered that process today).

What can I do to avoid messing up my progress. I'm on day 16 of phase 2...

Stick to the protocol.... Stick to veggies without cream sauce, lean meat, stay away from carbs, stay away from alcohol. Really nothing else to do....
