I was wondering what kinds of vitamins are ok, or I should be taking on the diet. I have 100+ pounds to lose so I'm thinking I need something for skin elasticity. I bought, MSM, B-12, vitamin D, and Potassium. I'm not sure if these are ok to take together? Is there anything else important to take?
And speaking of skin, any advise for not having loose skin, I know it may happen and I'd rather have that then be over weight, but if there is anyway to try to prevent it, I'll try anything! I'm only 22 so I'm hoping my young age will help, but I've been over weight for a few years so I'm thinking I'll have loose skin....I guess I'll just have to see Any tricks for it though? Experience? How much have u lost and do or don't have loose skin? I like hearing stories. ![]() |

It sounds like you have a good assortment of vitamins. I take potassium and magnesium, and I eat a lot of unrefined sea salt on this diet because my electrolytes tend to get all messed up, especially at the beginning of a round. My potassium goes dangerously low and I have low sodium always. The magnesium also helps a lot with constipation. I recommend it. B vitamins are great. Most of us are probably low in D so that's a good one, too. Just read the labels on your vitamins and make sure they aren't filled with sugar and starch. Many are. As far as I know, those are all fine to take together. B vitamins make me nauseous so I take those with food. And vitamin D is fat soluble, so it is best taken with fat (we're not eating much fat on this diet, so just take it with food, I guess).
If you've been to a doctor for some blood work, you can find out what vitamins you are deficient in. If you aren't deficient, you probably don't need to take them. Most women have low B12, low D, and low magnesium, I believe. Since you are 22, you probably won't have too much trouble with loose skin. I've heard the MSM is great for that, too, but I haven't tried it. And following the protocol as far as length of a round and length of P3/P4 is probably the best way to avoid having loose skin. I'm 44 and I've lost about 55 lbs. I just started noticing some loose skin in my upper arms about two weeks ago. That's the first I've had a problem with. I think maintenance (7 more lbs! Woohoo!) and some toning exercises will take care of the issue. |

I take MSM, food based vit. B complex, Biotics adrenal support (more B vitamins and bovine glandular tissue), chlorella, New Chapter probiotics, NAC, a few different forms of magnesium, sublingual vit. D and milk thistle for liver support. I add Real Salt to my water too.
I think my potassium, zinc and vit. C are fine but I am watching how I feel. If I get weak, or feel like I am getting a cold (which I haven't had all winter), I will add those as well. |
