Default UP 1.6 in the past 2 days! So sad should I be patient or do something drastic?Help
I was SO hoping to weigh between 200 and 205 (Well, really wanted 199) by the end of the first 30 days and I only have 7 injections left to do that. At 208 today, rather than 206.6 I can't see that happening now and it is depressing...(I AM trying to be upbeat, truly, but you know how it is).

I have been having the same things as I have been all along, nothing new, no more than usual, got good sleep last night and the night before after having bad insomnia a couple of nights before that.

So, I am thinking of keeping things VERY minimal today...just my protein and some cabbage with it twice today and that is it, with a lot of extra water so I don't feel hungry.

Or, should I do one of those *correction* days?

I take Hucog, 150iu sq. I will mix a new batch in 7 days so my injections will be for 27 days on this mix. Then I will mix again.

I started April 16th and 30 days will be in 11 days, I have decided to do a long round...60 days, so when I start my next round of inj I will skip one day per week.

I just don't know what to do about today though. I was so thrilled to see the 206.6 2 days ago b/c it meant that I would likley get to onederland before my 30 days....which would be 22 or 23 lbs in 30 days. From all the posts I have read here that is VERY reasonable to hope for since I have so much to lose.

What would you experts suggest? I am trying so hard to not be depressed about it...really...but I feel like crying....ok, so, yes, a bit of an emotional wreck here that I KNOW is uncalled for! LOL I believe frame of mind is so important and I can't seem to snap myself out of this one. I no longer have periods so I will never gain from that either.

Hope you can set me straight! Tough love readily accepted and I will do whatever I am told to do by those who know best

Im no expert, but sounds from the numbers that you are doing great! I would personally do a correction day of 5-6 small/med apples. You will wake up tomorrow with a 1-2 pound loss and begin your regular protocol regimen the next day. Smile. It happens to everyone now and again while on this protocol. The numbers will fall. Also, try switching up your proteins. I love a small chicken breast with a salad so I tend to eat it a lot! But I have found that now I must eat different proteins at different meals if I want to see better losses. Keep up the excellent work!

Wow, you are doing great!

During the apple day, can I have green tea? OR, do I only drink a little water when very thirsty? I think green tea is supposed to help release more water, but if you should not have your regular water amount, I am unsure if that means green tea as well.

Thank you for your help! I know it is all in my mind, but I just do not feel like eating anything today so had decided to just do a water and green tea *fast* today and take it easy, but if an apple day is better I will do that. I happen to have just yesterday purchased 10 gala apples, so I am already set for that LOL

Well, water is truly not required with the exception of thirst. Just apples. It seems a daunting task at first but then you enjoy not having to think about what food to eat all day. take your shots or drops as normal.

Thank you!

Just curious...has *what type* of apple ever been discussed, or does it matter? I will be eating average size to medium Gala apples...it is what I have. You are correct, taking a one day break from being afraid to eat the wrong thing, or the wrong combination of things will greatly reduce my stress levels about it and also give me a *moment* to think about NOT have hamburger and tomatoe sauce while on the VLCD...

Thank you! OH, what about green tea, iced when thirsty, can that be helpful or harmful on the apple day?

Apple don't really work, even Dr. Simeons wrote as much. Is TOM coming?

Some foods make people stall or gain in P2, mostly cabbage, beef, tomato and shrimp. Check your food log. Good luck Sherri!

Hi!
Yes, I re-read that lol. He says it just helps *mentally* LOL Since it depressed me I thought it could not hurt...just so confused b/c I did not eat anything different from what I have eaten for more than 2 weeks...and did not have a gain anything like this (except when I had a major yeast infection/break out, but it came off in a couple of days) until today. *sigh*

It just seems that 1.5-2 lbs is A LOT to *just happen*. I weighed 1.5 above yesterday when I first got up...then in less than 1/2 hour I had to go to the bathroom again so weighed again after just to see and it was up another .6, making it an even 2 lbs overnight. I only had a few sips of water at that point as well.

I do not have a period anymore so TOM will never be my problem

2 pounds IS depressing. Could put me back 5 days you know? Of course I will keep on keepin' on, but can not imagine why that much happened.

So...I guess I should just eat as usual instead of an apple day after all? Don't want to drop a pound or 2 tomorrow just to see it come back the next day when I eat, if that is what happens? Dr. S was unclear about whether or not it really will come back right away LOL

Thank you! It is so hard to know what to do when you are new to this

Well food sensitivities can just pop up, so I would look at that first.

Thank you! Will do...I will go back to chicken and shrimp for a while and see how it goes...that is what I started with and added beef a little at a time w/o trouble, but that is something I have had the past few days...96% lean beef.

Thank you! I bet switching back to chicken and seafood should help On to have some halibut or tilapia for lunch and chix for supper!

Apple days are for stalls of at least 4 days and even then they are pretty useless. When you do one that's unwarranted, like now, you're like to actually gain. I always gain on beef, by the way.

Oh gads on the beef LOL

I just bought a ton of it (OK, more like 5 lbs) and divided it up into snack baggies in the freezer... I ate it a bit the first 10 days or so but I bet my system has changed. I sure was loving the *chili* lol.

All is not lost...I will make ground chicken chili and it will be just fine...may even try tilapia chili

Btw, do you know of *any* sub for Braggs liquid Aminos? I know we talked about fermented soy vs non fermented (I would only ever do fermented) but as for a sub? I just got the HCG DIET Gourmet Cookbook by Tammy Skye and it seems every other recipe uses the Braggs. Have you ever found a sub for the flavor for p2?

I would use Tamari when making chinese food type things...veggie stir fries before HCG but will not risk it now, correct?

Thank you so much!

I don't use any of it in p2. I don't mind boring because it broke all my food addictions. I didn't realize you were eating chili. That's a deadly combination for me--beef and tomatoes.

Apparantly for me as well now LOL

And...I had it twice yesterday because it was so good So, one pound per meal yesterday then. Well, it is Tilapia for me for a few days...maybe. What do you suppose is the best of all the proteins to eat *for most* situations? If you do not mind my asking for your opinion on this?

Chicken or fish?
Thank you.

I lose best with fish. When I want to maximize my losses, I have fish 2x a day.

Ok, thank you!

Considering the chili fiasco, maybe we are similar so I am going to give just fish a try for a few days...one *last* question, sorry :/ Does that include shrimp and crab as well, or just the white fish listed?

Thanks and this is the last question on this to bother you with! I really do appreciate your time and opinion very much

yes seafood in general. But do be aware that shrimp and crab allergies are common and can cause some people to gain. If you find that happening, just cut it out.
