I am wondering if it is better/more effective for maximum P2 weightloss if I "Load" on high fat foods such as burgers, fries, pizza, etc. OR healthy fats such as nuts, avocados, olive oil, etc. What your experience and personal preference and why?
Thanks so much! |

I am wondering if it is better/more effective for maximum P2 weightloss if I "Load" on high fat foods such as burgers, fries, pizza, etc. OR healthy fats such as nuts, avocados, olive oil, etc. What your experience and personal preference and why? I would consider most of your high fat foods to really be high carb foods (potatoes, bread). In terms of hcg, I don't think it matters what type of fat you load on, healthy or unhealthy. I think a carton of ice cream is just as effective as a cup of olive oil. But most of us have found that loading on sugar (candy, cake, donuts) doesn't seem to work as well as loading on fats and proteins. However, since I follow a Weston A. Price Foundation style of eating, I am more likely to load on what I consider to be healthy fats...butter, heavy cream, coconut oil, lard, meats from healthy animals, soaked or sprouted grains, raw milk, cheese, pastured eggs. Those are the foods I like to eat. So my favorite loading breakfast is a big portion of scrambled eggs and cheese with bacon and a big glass of raw milk. If I load on pizza, it is a pizza I've made myself out of healthy fats, cheeses, meats and crust, or I make a cheeseburger from grassfed organic meat topped with raw cheese and avocado. I don't like french fries or most nuts or olive oil in any quantity that would help me load. Dr. Simeons mentions the following foods and advice about loading: ...milk chocolate, pastries with whipped cream sugar, fried meats (particularly pork), eggs and bacon, mayonnaise, bread with thick butter and jam, etc. The time and trouble spent on pressing this point upon incredulous or reluctant patients is always amply rewarded afterwards by the complete absence of those difficulties which patients who have disregarded these instructions are liable to experience. |
