Default Injections help! What am I doing wrong???
Ok so this is my second round and I have always noticed this issue. HCG injections work great for me so I didn't ask the last time but now it's bugging me bc I must be measuring something wrong. So I use 2000 iu and I take then intramuscular so I use 3ml needles with a .5 dosage so when I fill up the needle I put it to the mark that says 1/2. I make sure I measure everything perfect but never have as much as I should. If I do 200 iu in .5 ml dosage from a 2000iu bottle of hcg then that means I would have a total of 5 ml of liquid after the hcg is mixed and that means I should get 10 dosages from that but it never is its always like 8 and a little left. Can anyone give me an idea of where I'm going wrong? The 1/2 mark on a 3ml syringe is .5 right? Ugh I don't wanna be injecting more than I have to and I run out of supplies faster. Thanks for your thoughts bc I am just not getting it and I always see videos with the 1ml needles but not the bigger one. I did just see one and the guy said fill up the syringe to the second line and the video was so not clear thank you all!!!

Truthfullly, I think it is much harder to measure precisely .5 ml dose in a 3 ml syringe without going over that amount. Is there any way you can use smaller 1ml TB like syringe to measure your amount of .5 ml and then put it in the larger 3 ml barrel for your IM injection? Measurement would definitely be more precise. And yes, the 1/2 ml mark is .5 on a 3 ml syringe.

Once you finish the injection and pull it out, PULL BACK THE PLUNGER. You will notice extra HCG in your syringe, aside from the amount you injected of 0.5mL

Basically what im saying is... there is extra HCG in the tip of the syringe that never enters your body and doesn't register on the amount measured. This is basically waste.

Here is what I do, I use a 27g 1mL needle, and draw out 0.1mL then I pull it out of the bottle and pull back the plunger, this will show you the TRUE amount of HCG in your syringe. Now keep in mind, if you inject this into you, only 0.1mL will enter your body, the rest will stay in the tip and you can see this by pulling back the plunger after your injection. Anyways, 0.1mL pulled back reveals to me usually 0.15mL which is 150iu of HCG because I used 2000iu of HCG in 2mL of bacteriostatic water.

I then grab my bottle of bacteriostatic water and fill up the syringe to about 0.8 - 0.9mL to dilute the HCG. This ensures that you get more of the total HCG in the syringe, into your body. Then of course, switch the tip of the needle to your desire size. And yes there will be a bit of waste, but the waste will also be mostly water.

If this doesn't make sense I will try to explain again
