I'm at day 24 of P2, and I'm not losing as much weight daily as I did at the beginning. I know it's normal to slow down as you get further into the diet, but when I did my first round, I continued to lose at least a pound a day from beginning to end. (I know, I'm fortunate in that I react well to hCG.)
For the last week I've steadily slowed down, even though I haven't changed my diet. I'm down to half a pound a day, and while I know a lot of you might say that's still good, I wonder if I'd do better going to P3 for about three-weeks, then returning to P2. Because of work and travel, spring is the only time of year I can do this, so I'd obviously like to lose as much as possible in the time I have left. What do you think? Hang in there at half a pound a day until I reach day 40, or take a break and hope I can kickstart it back to a pound a day? Your opinions are appreciated. |

I don't think anyone else can answer that but you. If you are losing at a half pound a day would you rather lose 8 more pounds through the end of the round or stay where you are? You didn't mention if P2 has been a struggle for you but I find myself in such a cruise control mode by the point that you are at I would just stay the course.
As you get closer to your goal the weight comes off slower. When I was 245 it was flying off...when I was 185 it was an exercise in patience...that paid off. |

I decided to do the full 40 days instead of 21/24. I slowed down too but I ended up losing 10 more pounds by sticking with it until the 40 day mark. I'm glad I did because it's ten pounds!
As far as going p3 then back to phase 1, I wouldn't risk immunity by only having three weeks In-between the two HCG rounds. Best to follow protocol, six week Inbetween rounds 1 and 2, I think it's 8 weeks (I would have to look it up) between rounds 2 and 3. One more thing, the scale messes with my mind. I opted not to weigh for several weeks at a time. Dr Simeon says the steak day is really so we feel like we are losing weight, but the weight comes off anyway. I lost a total of 25 lbs in phase 2, today is my first day if phase 3. I know people lose more in phase 2, but heck, 25 lbs is 25 lbs. |
