Hey everyone. Thanks for reading.
My girlfriend and I started the HCG diet 3 days ago, today was our first day in phase 2. We have some individual questions that I figured we would keep in one thread. Any answers to these would be helpful. 1. She is a swimmer and is not looking forward to giving up swimming for a month (or more?). Can she at least lightly swim for 3 days a week? And if so, should she increase her intake calories from 500? If so, should she increase them every day or just on the days she works out? If not, why? 2. I am 6'5'', 295 lbs. On a common sense kind of wavelength, it doesn't seem to make sense to me that we're both consuming 500 calories when she is much smaller. We do have a similar weight loss goal of about 40 lbs. Should I eat 750 calories or should I really try 500 and see if it works? I've got a beginner's mindset, but I want to lose weight as healthy as possible and I don't want to starve myself. 3. In regards to HCG and birth control, do we need to be concerned that it will interfere with it in any way? No babies wanted at the moment!!! 4. Can/should we take green tea pills with the HCG? The brand is Mega-T Dietary Supplement. Thanks... Chris and Laurina |

Most men can cheat some and still have good losses but don't assume you will need to. Your body should release the energy you need.
![]() And again, she should not assume she will need more food since it's something she's used to doing. Also, realize that it's unlikely to lose 40 pounds in one round. Men with a lot to lose sometimes do so YOU might but it's doubtful she will. Most women lose about 25 pounds on a 6 week round. Just a warning so you both have realistic expectations. Men typically lose about 30-34 in that same time. Birth control pills are fine on hcg. ![]() |
