Default HCG Drops - Ineffective? Help Please
I am new to this forum and new to the HCG diet. I have been on for 8 days now. It was working like gang busters INITIALLY. Now I have stalled. I am taking the drops as directed and have not cheated on the diet though I have wanted to. I noticed the slow to stopped weight loss a few days ago and thought drinking more water would help. Then I read somewhere that you could use a pregnancy test to determine if your drops are still potent and guess what? My pregnancy test was negative when I put the drops on the end of the EPT pregnancy test!!!

Not sure if I ordered bogus drops (ordered from HCG1234) or if they have somehow become "inactive". Please give me your feedback/advise. Also I am not asking any one to advertise as it is against the forum rules I just read BUT if my drops are no longer potent, can you tell me where to buy some real ones?

Joyfully

Homeopathic drops will not turn a test strip positive. They work differently from RX. EVERYONE stalls. Read up on it on the forum.

I've read 60+ pages on this forum so your advice for me to "read up" put me off a bit and has served to increase my frustration. I have also read on another forum that you could in fact test whether the HCG you've purchased is the real deal. I came to this forum to validate that information. I haven't read of anyone stalling at day 8 on the first round.

What is your hunger level? How much energy do you have?

Grammy is correct on RX drops will turn a prego test positive.. Homeopathic HCG Drops will not...

There are tons of reasons why you could be stalling... and yes its not uncommon to stall at the point you are at...

Have you kept a journal of what you have eaten? Have you adjusted your drops? Are you eating the same proteins? Are you weighing your food?

Reading here, it seems like Day 8 is a really common day to stall or for losses to slow dramatically. It def did for me.

And from looking on the HCG1234 site, it doesn't really look like those drops contain HCG at all. So they aren't going to affect a preg test. There is a sticky on several forums as to where to look.

BadKitty...Thank you for addressing my concern that the drops I just spent $160 (2 bottles) have no HCG at all! Wow!! That was what I suspected but I needed confirmation. I did read the thread regarding other places to purchase real HCG but a lot of them come in shot forms and I am too squeamish to shoot myself everyday. I couldn't even be in the room for my children's inoculations so I have to figure out where to buy it in a form I can drink.

Again, thanks again. This is a frustrating process and sometimes it helps just to feel like you're being "heard" rather than being told "go take a walk/read" Lol. Thanks again!!

Already There....

I don't think the homeopathic HCG drops are effective. I follow the diet... coffee w/sweet and low for breakfast, tonic water, lettuce wraps w/gound beef for lunch and dinner, measure out the lean ground beef (100 grams)...It's only been 7 days so it was easier for me to measure everything out for 1 week and eat the same thing...also had a 1/2 grapefruit or whole orange once both 1/2's of grapefruit were done. Net net, I just don't think the homeopathic HCG (HCG1234) taken in the method prescribed (10 drops under tongue 3x per day, 30 min prior to meals) is working for me.

My hunger level initially was raging but it's better now. Energy is so so. BUT the muscle in my legs feel shaky sometimes. I am an avid bowler so I notice it when I "plant" my leg prior to releasing the ball.

Just a a note on your menu...
Tonic water has sugar in it, if you're drinking the type with quinine... Either switch to club soda or to the diet tonic.
Also, the original protocol says to not have the same protein & vegetable for both of your meals - try switching out one of your meals for something like chicken/cabbage or tilapia/spinach.

Good luck!

*snip*coffee w/sweet and low for breakfast, tonic water, lettuce wraps w/gound beef for lunch and dinner, measure out the lean ground beef (100 grams)...*snip*

Oranges can be a problem as well. And many people stall on beef. I've used Rx and homeopathic hcg and both have worked equally well for me, I've discovered no difference in the rate of losses. I don't weigh myself every day either, which I know is off protocol. I weigh once a week because I know I'll naturally stall some days, and I don't want to feel let down when I'm on the scale after all this effort. And anyway I really don't need the scale, my clothes tell the real story.

Cheer up, if your hunger is better and you've been losing, it's working.

Sorry about your fustration, and I completely understand it. I stalled for 5 day at VLCD9. The next two weeks my loss were very small. I was very discouraged especially on the days when I actually gained. I discovered I wasn't drinking enough water. You can see my stats in my signature. I don't know if that is your issue. I've also read that a lot people stall after they loose about 10 lbs. So, be patient and continue the program. Remember the average loss for women is only .5lb per day. I don't know how much you've loss, but divide you losses by the number of VLCDs. If you are around .5 per day, you doing just fine.
