Default Any Fitbit users?
I really want to buy one because it looks so fantastic but I wanted to hear from people who may have one already. Do you love it? Is it easy to use? Does it calculate your heart rate while you workout?

Any info would be so appreciated!

Thank you

I had not heard of Fitbit until reading your post, so thank you for asking the question!

It looks really interesting. I wonder how accurate it is. Have you read the reviews? Maybe you can try it out and let us all know what you think.

I've had a fitbit since they first came out (2009). On my second one in fact because the battery wore out of the first one. They replaced it free even thought it had been well over 2 years.

They just announced a new wifi scale that I'm thinking about getting.

Does it count your heart rate while you work out?

not specifically. It knows when you are more active and burning more calories based on motion.

I was considering purchasing a Body Bugg. I have been looking for competitive products today I found Fitbit. Although I can't recall the name of the product right now Jillian Michaels has a similiar product. I found this review that you may find helpful. http://tweakfit.com/fitbit-vs-bodybugg-reviews.

Here is an update to my previous post. The Jillian Michaels product is called 360. It is rediculiously expensive. I also found out that Body Bugg and 360 are produced by a company called Body Media. They do market their own version of the product to the public via their website www.bodymedia.com. The newest version of the product is called the Core. It is 33% smaller than Body Bugg. It does measure heart rate, however you'd need to purchase another item to get instant read results. It does sync with your smart phone so you can get real time result by looking at your phone. Anyway you can get more details on the site. It is less expensive to purchase it direct than through their retail partners at Target anyway.

Thank you so much! I think I made the right choice in the Fitbit. It should be here tomorrow or Friday. I am not really that into tracking every calorie burned or anything like that. I just want it to track my overall movement and so on. And I LOVED the added sleep monitoring. I really appreciate your input. Thank you.

I got a Fitbit for Christmas and I really like it. It's basically a glorified pedometer, but it's pretty cool to see how active I am during the day, and also how well (and how long) I sleep at night.

I got my fitbit today. So far I like it. Have to give it a couple of days to see if I love it but I think I'm going to!

It depends on how analytical you want to be. They just rolled it out a year ago or so. I went all the time before that without it.

Thanks Beth. I just want the basic info for now.

By the way.. I LOVE the fitbit! It's easy, pretty darn accurate and non cumbersome. I forget the thing is on. It's great just to keep track of how active you are and I learned I actually sleep BETTER than I thought! I really like it. Only thing that could make it better is a live heart rate monitor but I just bought a Polaris one and now I have everything I need to keep my weight healthy and challenge myself daily. LOVE it!
