I seam to have the best luck with chicken and tilapia. Would it be ok to have that everyday? Obviously I wouldn't do the same meat for lunch and dinner on the same day. I would do chicken for lunch and tilapia for dinner. And then the next day maybe I would do tilapia for lunch and chicken for dinner. I plan to have this pattern everyday. I do way more variety of veggies and fruit. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on my meat schedule. Thanks!

When I make it I just put it on some tinfoil and then kind of curl up the sides around it (but not over it) like a boat. Then I will just salt it or squeeze some lemon juice on it. Throw it in the oven for about 15 - 20 minutes on 375. Pretty good! Someone suggested to me once to do it at 350... But I thing I like 375 better

I do mine in a skillet on my stovetop with a bit of my homemade chicken broth...just 3-4 mins on each side. I put my aspargus in there to cook at the same time. Great flavor and stays moist...actually, the beauty with tilapia is that it really just takes on the flavor of what you season it with as its so mild on it's own. I usually go with lemon pepper or dill.
As for switching proteins, I usually do not...it's fine not to. I do chicken for probably 75% of my meals and tilapia for the others. I do have some red meat for two or three dinners per round but chicken and tilapia are my good losers. |

So funny how everyone's body responds differently, my best loss days on R1 were beef days. And my best best loss days were beef/veal days.
I cook my fish on the stovetop in a ceramic frying pan. I make sure to pat all liquid off them before putting them in the pan. Start to develop a nice crust on each side then I sprinkle on the seasonings. My fave is cajun seasoning (make sure there is no added sugar) and then as they are finishing cooking I add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. YUM! |
