hello!! so my round ends in about 2 1/2 weeks and i NEED to be down 18 more pounds [going into surgery in 4 weeks] i want to keep it a steady pound a day and recently my apple is making it very difficult. my other fruit is strawberries, and i tend to get a little hungry when i dont replace the apple. i was wondering should i cut my apple without sub-ing anything, replace it with more protein from my fish, or replace it with grapefruit to get the best results??? i would try to figure it out myself but not too much time for trial and error. thank you!!!

If you're using the grissini bread stick or toast, I'd drop that first. You can easily do without two fruit servings, I had one serving a day each of my rounds. It wouldn't be bad to sub a bit more protein, or more veggies, but I wouldn't just add a grapefruit - a serving is half a grapefruit by the way.
If you're having an empty feeling try having a warm cup of tea or ice water - both help make you feel full. BUT - do not think you're going to keep your losses at a pound a day - you don't really have that kind of control with this protocol. Your body will decide what it wants to loose - or if it wants to just putz along, or heaven forbid, STALL. So, just follow protocol and let your body do it's work. Remember, women average .5# - .75# a day over the course of the round. Good luck! |
