Default Recipe safe for P2???
Hi,
I was going through my slow cooker recipe book to see if there were any recipes I could use or tweak safe for P2.

Here is one:

..diced tomatoes not drained (was thinking of using fresh tomatoes and dicing them myself
..onion
..celery
..bell pepper
..garlic
..dried parsley flakes
..dried oregano
..hot pepper sauce
..dried thyme
..shrimp
.. rice (but will leave this ingredient out for sure)
..fat free reduced sodium chicken broth (should I make my own chicken broth as I have a recipe from forum?)

Thank you...

the only thing that isn't on protocol is the bell pepper but some people use them...also you would be mixing veggies by using the tomatoes and bell pepper

I would make your own chicken broth just so you can control the ingredients

Not totally P2 friendly as you are not supposed to have more than 1 veggie at each meal. You would have to pick one (tomatoes, onion, celery, or bell pepper) but you can't have them all if you are trying to stay on protocol P2.

I forgot about the mixing... So with that said, I could use the celery/bell pepper (1) and onion for flavor, eat the other (either celery or bell pepper), save other one for left over next day, and tomato I usually count as a fruit. Thank you both for your quick responses..
