Default Not starving, but not satisfied either...craving maybe?
Hi everyone.

I'm on R2/P2/D9 and have only lost 4.5lbs. That's normal for me though, I lost slowly last round as well, only losing 14lbs in 40 days. I really only have 12-14 more to go, so I'm sure it'll come off slower now.

So anyway...food. I have no problem eating on protocol except that I am craving crunchy foods something fierce. I'm gluten free anyway, so I'm not really having carb withdrawl as far as I can tell. It's not crackers/cereal/bread etc that I'm missing, but things like almonds, popcorn, and rice chips.

I've tried subbing veggies (cukes/celery) but it's not cutting it. I even tried ice chips! Again, it's not because I'm hungry, it's just a craving and I can't get it out of my head. This didn't happen on Round 1, so I'm not sure why it's happening now...

Thoughts? Suggestions?

thanks,
Kristin

Some slow losers have luck with cutting one fruit and subbing in 100 calories of extra protein in its place. You might give that a try. I can't help with the cravings, darn it. Most of us miss the crunchy stuff.

Thanks, I'll try that. Although, my 2 fruits a day are getting me through right now as far as crunchy stuff, lol.

How do most people space out their food? I'm skipping bfast, eating lunch, a fruit mid afternoon, dinner and a fruit later in the evening. Some mornings I am hungry before lunch time.

I started out taking 150, but was hungry. I skipped a day and was less hungry, so i dropped my dose down to 125.

I actually advocate eating only two meals a day without snacking. I really think that has been the key to stabilization for me. It starts the leptin reset while on hcg. I have my coffee in the morning but that's all. If you take out one fruit, you could add some meat for breakfast.

Oh, ok...so eat meat (eggs maybe?) for bfast and skip a fruit. Only 2 meals though...wouldn't that make 3 meals? And should I add my one fruit to lunch or dinner?

I only did 2 meals but that helped make sure there was at least 4 hours between meals. So if you eat breakfast early and make sure you have 4 hours between, you'll be okay.

And it doesn't matter what meal you add the fruit to.

Ok, so drop down to 2 meals...so does that mean eating my one fruit with one of my meals? And, if I add meat at bfast, won't that give me 3 meals?

thanks for all your help

Also, we usually don't eat dinner until 6:30 or so...can you suggest recommend times for my meals?

It helps your leptin sensitivity. You might read about it in the leptin subforum here if you're interested.

I will definitely read about it, since I don't even know what Leptin is

So, if I'm eating at 8, 1 and 6, I should be fine...that is a LONG time to go without a snack!
