Default No major gains, but no real losses the past couple of days
So no real losses but no major gains. Sigh. I stay on protocol and can't figure out what's going on. I'm really bummed. I'm wondering if the slow losses have anything to do with I only had a small among of weight to lose 20#. any advice, please... I don't want to give up. I was initially going to do 23 days (half cycle) someone suggested at least 30. This gives me 10 more days to lose between 5-10 #. Advice to help?

Hi, BrodiesMom. Well, welcome to the typical slow down period - unfortunately, it happens to most. Stay on protocol, it will pick back up some. BUT - remember, women average .5# - .75# per day for the entire round, and if you have just a little to loose, it could be WAY slower. Hang in there, make sure to drink lots of water, and stick with it.

YES, definately be on for the 30 days!! You'll stand a better chance stabilizing in P3 if you do.

So normally in the morning I have green tea; an apple mid morning; a protein (usually an organic chicken burger) and veggie; afternoon strawberries and on workout days I'll have a protein shake that's only 100 cals and protein and 2 carbs; and dinner can be seafood sometimes a meat, but I've been trying to hold off on red meat in the evening and keep it to 2 times a week.

You should check to make sure there aren't any 'verboten' ingredients in your chicken burger, or shake (no sugars, etc.). This diet isn't based on things that aren't on the original protocol.. ie. processed foods, regardless of the calories. As for the red meat, some people (myself included) have no problem with it. Hang in there, I'm just finishing week 4, and it's been a stall most days of the past week, but I know that's normal, and it will move again when it wants to.... hopefully tomorrow morning... I'll be doing my weekly update tomorrow... drum roll....

I did try organic chicken sausage yesterday... No sugar. I'm staying away from all of that. Serious self control!

It could also contain a lot of sodium, which could throw you off. Some ground chicken is a mix of white and dark meat, therefore have a higher fat content which would totally throw you off. You may consider giving up one fruit - that helps quite often. I never did two fruits per day. Its not a matter of eating the most detoxifying veggies - you've got to consider how starchy they are, too.

I only did the organic chicken sausage last night and it was only one. The chicken patties are organic and all white meat. I've tried to be really careful... Even the ground meat I buy is very low fat and grassfed hormone and antibiotic free. My favorite veggie is asparagus. Sometimes I do broccoli. I'll do a salad here and there.

I have IR and when it was discovered I had actually done the SB diet and did very well on that. I can't figure what's not agreeing with me or maybe it's I just don't have a lot of weight to lose so it's a slow go

i agree that you seem to be deviating from protocal. I would stick to chicken breasts and not chicken pattys or chicken sausage. Make sure you are drinking lots of water.

Yah, I went back and looked at the package and been though it was organic and all, fresh, antibiotic/hormone free... The patties are made with leg meat (yuck)... Maybe I'll make my own with the sane spices. I have a few more days to make a dent in this weight loss... 5-8 more #s would make me so happy
