Default I need help PLEASE!!!
Okay, so I've completed five rounds of hcg, which has taken me from 213 to 128!! It's been amazing, I know tons about it. But started P3 today and I'm confused about the Leptin reset. I ate as much as I could of the big breakfast, got in about 40 grams of protein before feeling like I was going to throw up! All eggs and homemade turkey sausage, with some cheese. (I don't have 30 more pounds to lose so I can have dairy, right?) I am so confused. I still want to eat all my normal P3 things like almonds and cheesecake muffins. Am I correct in thinking that since I don't need to lose more, I can still have those things?

Is it just that if I *do* have them, it has to be with a meal instead of as a snack? I hope so, otherwise not sure I want to do this. So any help you can give me would be great. For instance, went to have tuna for a light lunch with some lettuce and realized I"m not sure I can use mayo on this??? Is there an approved list of things somewhere? I looked on all threads, saw a few but only had very FEW menu ideas and BAB ideas on them!!! I need like a huge comprehensive list of what you can and can't eat for it to work for me! I think that's why I always did so well on P2~!!!

Anyway, I'm hoping someone can help me. Can I eat whatever I usually would eat on a P3, but it's just restricted to meal times? Also, can you only drink plain tea and water in between meals, but have coffee with creamer at each meal? I think I'm understanding right, but not sure! Thank you, thank you! I don't want to screw up the first day!!!

Sorry, forgot to add, can I use salad dressings that are okay for a normal P3? I never see anyone post these things, sorry if I'm being repetitive. What about sugar free chocolate on occasion? We go to WDW A LOT and I wouldn't feel as left out if I could eat one here and there, or is it a no-no? It definitely wouldn't be daily, I'd use cocoa crack for that! Thanks!

You will get most of your questions answered from these posts including the comments after each one.

http://jackkruse.com/the-leptin-rx-faqs/

Then there are several threads here with a LOT of information. Just do a forum search for "Leptin".

Good luck!

Thanks Nix!!! It's been hard, but so worth it!! Only cheated this last round, and that was only because I had no choice. I was not about to plunk down $400 for a wedding cake that I had never tasted, and time was running out! LOL

Itsy Bitsy, I've read both of those twice, I guess I'm just not seeing the exact answers I need. I've searched leptin on here and been reading for about three days. Thanks though!

Okay, I found the answer about coffee with creamer and in between meals at least. Still wondering about mayo and sweet things. I know he says only Stevia, but I only like Truvia, so I guess Leptin reset is not an option for me.

The important thing is to not beat yourself up about it! Things happen, it's life, it's how we deal with it afterwards. OF COURSE you had to try your cake, getting married is important and you want everything to be perfect --I don't care for cake, but would have tasted it myself as well!! Keep us posted let us know if things worked out.

Oh, I didn't beat myself up at all! It was yummy and worth every last bite!! Still ended up losing to where I wanted to be, so no worries. I don't cheat, but this was a must. I'm just thinking maybe I stick with what I know for now which is a normal P3 and just be happy! I was always able to maintain exactly where I landed, so I guess maybe I don't need to do the leptin thing. Dunno! Thanks for your kind words though!

Hi, matterhorn. Your losses are FANTASTIC! Way to go!

I'll be using the Leptin Reset when I enter P3 next week. I spent the better part of the afternoon reading the Leptin Reset in the Eating off hCG forum. One thing to keep in mind is the amount of carbs - if you don't have 30# to loose, you can have up to 50g per day. Otherwise, the limit is 25g. From what grammy was saying, the "no snack" rule would apply to coffee w/cream - basically you do not have calories inbetween your meals. I don't see a reason you wouldn't be able to have mayo on your tuna - I know I will be!! You also need to amp up the amount of coconut oil you're consuming - Dr. Jack is a huge proponent of it, and its fabulous for you.

Good luck with whichever way you go - you're doing so great!

Hi Blue!! Thank you. Looks like we are at about the same place!! Wish I could have squeezed out a few more pounds, but I'm getting married in December and dress has already been altered and fit me perfectly at 135, so now at 129, I'm kinda scared to lose more because I am NOT altering it again! LOL. But it looks like you started about right where my second round did, I was 183. And now here we are in the 120's!!! Isn't it amazing??

Thank you for clarifying some stuff! So I guess it's okay for me to have a few carbs, because I definitely cannot lose 30 more pounds!! Or even 20! YAY!! That makes me happy to hear. I love mayo, like it on my burgers for dinner too! Started off breakfast this morning with 5 slices of bacon, 1 sausage, 1 cheesecake muffin, and an inch off my block of cheese. Hope that will be enough! I never really get snacky until I watch my tv shows late at night!! That seems to be my only problem time.

Also, any idea how long you can draw out eating where it's still considered meal time? For instance, if I make my coffee, then eat, then get busy with the kids in the morning for 20-30 minutes, then remember I didn't finish my almost full coffee, can I still drink it? Am I getting too nit picky, or does it really matter?

Thanks, Andrea

I am really loving it! Got the house all decorated for Halloween, now at least the weather matches! LOL. Even walked the kids to school this morning, it felt SO great out!! I moved here last year and haven't regretted it one single day! We go to Disney a lot, so cooler temps are just fine with me~!

I moved here about eight years ago from Atlanta. I was in Atlanta for about six and a half years - HATED it the entire time!! Before that, my home was in the thumb area of Michigan, and let me tell you, I would rather deal with the heat and humidity any day than getting snowed in and shoveling snow - ICK!!

This weekend I went to Old Time Pottery and bought fall flowers for my vases, and a very pretty fall wreath for my front door Ahhhhh, with the cool temperatures it makes it actually FEEL like a little bit of autumn is settling in

Nice!! I love Old Time Pottery! Got a few things there for my centerpieces for the wedding, trying to put them together myself! I was actually born in Dearborn Heights, lived in MI myself growing up, but actually spent teen years and young adult life in AZ and for the last 13 years, Las Vegas. But I don't blame you, my fiance moved here from KY, I would never have moved there to be with him because I can't stand snow myself! YUCK!

Okay, well I think (hope) I'm doing okay and doing this right. So far, seems to be okay. I've been within the two pound limit the last three days and have been eating quite a bit. Need to slow down on the nuts though, that's for sure. They're just so good!
