Hi all,
I am only new here and still learning a lot about this diet and its results, which are truly great, but what puzzles me is the relative lack of mention of post diet exercise. I don’t wish to offend anyone, and if I do, I apologize now, as that is not my intention, but there are only a few reasons why most here would require HCG in the first place. It is a simple case of too many calories in, not enough being burned, now I know there are some with medical reasons, injuries etc, but those aside, if you only burn 3000cals per day but put in 4000, you are going to save some, as fat, there is no other way to put it. Now as I see it this diet is great at getting rid of all that stored fat, but as you reach your goal weight and wish to return to a “normal” healthy diet, would it not make sense to include a structured exercise plan to enable you to continue to remain at your goal weight, increase your fitness, which we know will only help keep you alive. Not only that, it will allow you to enjoy some foods, in controlled quantities that would normally be off limits in a maintenance type diet. Lean muscle mass is something EVERYONE needs, it is essential for a healthy, long life. I am not talking about a steroid fuelled Arnie look alike, but a healthy, strong, fit person who enjoys life, not one too worn out and tired from a restrictive calorie (maintenance) diet that a lot of people will end up on, those diets are no fun, most will go away from them, and return to gain weight, which is the last thing anyone wants after working so hard to lose it in the first place. I am also not talking about hours in the Gym doing spin classes, or running on a treadmill or stair machine, non of those will do a anything meaningful to help you grow lean muscle, they will make you huff and puff, increase you Aerobic fitness, which is good, but not help you grow and maintain your muscles. I read a lot of the men’s section post, and most of the guys in there return to exercise as soon as they can, with great results, it can work for everyone, and must form half of your weight control plan, half diet, half exercise, they are in perfect balance, you CAN control your weight through Diet alone, but before too long, it will become hard and boring. Same for exercise, you can run for an hour a day 7 days a week, but eat too many Twinkies, your still going to get fat, so a balance is required, get that right and you can enjoy a long happy healthy life with “normal” (read natural) foods without the need to count calories, ever. Any thoughts or ideas would be great, I can get info to people which will start them down the right track, but there are so many variables of age, sex, weight, and physical ability etc to have a basic blanket plan. Is there any interest in this? A thread, maybe with sub sections for different ages and abilities, for people to post their questions and get tips, maybe hook up with an exercise buddy? It really is as important as the food we eat. Please think about it. |
