So I was reading this info about 0 calorie foods and this is apparently a list of foods that take more calories to digest than they are to begin with. So all the fruits and veggies on protocol are on this list which leads me to believe that we are "really" only taking in calories from whatever protein we eat. Unless of course you can burn the calories of a 3.5oz piece of meat just by digesting it...lol So in reality we are eating nothing at all?? What do you think?

i don't know where you got that list, but i would not say it's accurate. there are a number of foods on there that are pretty high in calories.
digestion actually burns more calories than any other basic body function (or so i've read). that's taken into account when you look at how much you eat when figuring out your BMR. but if we weren't burning those calories we'd be storing them- so we need to burn a lot. ![]() |
