Default Help - Want to Make Sure I Do This Right
Hi Guys,
I have been lurking here for a while and doing some research to make sure that I don’t mess this up. I did 1 round of HCG for 28 days several months ago under a docs supervision. I only lost 10 lbs but that was because I had a death in the family and had to travel overseas for the funeral. It was really hard to stick to the protocol. I did not want to have to explain why I was injecting myself and it was very difficult to have control over my diet. I am planning to do another round but this time I will buy the supplies and do it on my own as I can’t afford to go with the doc again. I have made my shopping list after reading thru the posts here and pretty much identified the suppliers I will use - even got the pre-paid debit card in hand (thanks for the tips on that). I plan to get the Hucog 5000 i.u vials of HCG. Not sure if I should mix with 10 or 20 ml of bac water and how it will affect the dosage amount. Are there pros and cons to either?

While doing the program before, the HCG bottle from the doc was labeled 8000U/6cc. I used low dose, ½ cc 8mm 31G insulin syringes also provided by the doc. Each syringe held ½ cc / 50 units. I injected 15 units as instructed (I was hungry a lot of the time by the way). I see numerous references here to people taking anywhere from 125 – 200 iu’s which sounds like way more than I was taking. If I am calculating this right, it sounds like I was taking just 75 iu’s. Not good at math so maybe I am miscalculating ? Was there a difference in the potency of the mixture I got from the doctor? I want to make sure that I take the correct dosage. The mixing instructions on another thread use 5000iu HCG plus 10ml bac water and had the following table of dosage amounts:

HCG Dose Injection Amount
125iu = .25 or 25 on an insulin syringe
150iu = .30 or 30 on an insulin syringe
175iu = .35 or 35 on an insulin syringe
200iu = .40 or 40 on an insulin syringe

How much should I be injecting? Help!!

You were taking 200iu of the old mix.king of on the high side. * (8 000 / 6) * .15 = 200

Thanks. I did read that but I could figure out the dose and how it compared to what I was taking before. I guess I am not calculating the #'s right.

Thank you soooo much! Told you I was no good at math :-). I just couldn't figure out how the 15 units in my syringe from the doc would translate to the unit numbers that are being quoted on the forum. So I was taking 200 and that was on the high side huh? Now, I did feel hungry a lot of the time while I was on it and when I told the doc he said it would pass and I should drink more water. I was drinking at least a gallon of a day - I was already doing that anyway as I don't drink soda or fruit juices. I missed my occasional adult beverage though :-). So do you have any suggestions as to whether I should keep taking the same dose or make it more or less to alleviate the hunger I was experiencing? Should I take less or more? What do you recommend?

I think you were hungry because your dose was too high.

I would start at 150iu with the Hucog. if you mix it with 10ml total volume that would be .30

Beth, I really appreciate your taking the time to respond to me about this. I am so nervous. I want to follow the protocol exactly this time around and hope to be able to complete it successfully without any more unforeseen drama or tragedies in my life. I am looking to lose 15-18 lbs. I am not sure if I should do the 28 or 43 day program. I figured I would get enough HCG to do the longer one in case I need to. Now that I have all my ducks in a row I will order my HCG from ADC tomorrow. Hopefully, it will arrive in the next 7-10 days which is the ETA they gave me when I called them yesterday. This forum is great - I’m really glad I stumbled across it. I won’t feel so alone and apprehensive as I set out on this adventure. I will lower the dose to 150iu/30 and see how that works and share my progress here along the way. Thanks again for your prompt and very helpful response to my SOS.

I would keep the length of your P2 open somewhat and re-evaluate as you get close to the 28 days. I stumbled across the forum also a year ago now. It's a wonderful community full of helpful people.

Yes, that sounds like the prudent thing to do. Well, the other thing I will have to work on is getting enough rest. It is 1.40 AM EST (I am in FLL) so should turn in for the night. I can’t ever seem to get more than 4½ - 5 hrs of sleep per night. The doctor thinks that is why it is so hard for me to lose weight despite my 6 day a week 2 hour a day cardio habit. I know I will have to cut way back on that while on the diet and I am looking forward to it because frankly, I am exhausted all the time. Oh, and I forgot to ask before, I guess I should order the B12 shots as well? From the discussions on here it seems highly recommended. Do you know what the dosage should be on that? I guess I can search around the forum tomorrow for some info on that so this is kind of a lazy question on my part but it would be great if you know the answer to that.

I've never done the B12 injections. When my level was checked in Feb it was in the mid-range. I think most people that do B12 injections do 1ml per week.

Have you tried melatonin and 5-htp for sleep?

Off the grid for the past 24 hours…I have tried Melatonin without any improvement. Not sure what 5-htp is? I will do some research on it. My doc actually put me on 10,000 units of Vitamin D twice weekly about 2 months ago but still no change. Trying really hard not to just cave in and start taking Ambien or some other prescription sleep aid. I am beyond sleep deprived
