Default The Archimedes' Scale...
It started kind of as a joke between me and Husband, but part of me thinks that it would be VERY USEFUL to have a device that measured us in terms of volume displacement, rather than mere gravitational pull.

An Archimedes' scale is basically a huge dunk tank, where you measure a person much the same way you measure a gob of Crisco by throwing it into a bowl of water.

How would you feel if you could measure your progress by tracking changes in how many cubic inches your body is, as opposed to how many pounds?

Right now, it's sounding pretty damned good.

No. It would be a measurement of how many cubic inches you take up. Much more relevant than a measurement of how much gravitational pull the Earth is exerting upon your body.

I want one.

I weigh so much more that I appear to weigh because of muscle mass and dense bones. I would much rather be measured by my cubic inch-age than my weight!
