Default How to burn more fat during workout
I read a very interesting article from MSNBC.com just now and it tells how we can burn more fat during workout. It's simple...Don't eat before you exercise. The scientist suggest that since our body is low in food and doesn't have carbohydrates to use as energy during exercise, it will use our fat reserve as fuel instead.

A study was conducted to prove this theory and their findings were favorable. The group who didn't eat any carbohydrates during workout burned a significant amount of fat than those who ate.

This mean exercising on an empty stomach isn't so bad after all..

My exercise routine is sports so I never play with a full stomach because it makes me feel uncomfortable. And I have to say that it does speed up the burning process

Thanks for posting this mikaela.. This helps us a lot.. However, I think that would depend on how extreme your workout is.. The theory makes sensebut perhaps the study was only based on regular exercise routines

How to burn more fat during workout?

I just tell you what I see in gyms. People go to gym and socialize, instead of working out. You see them sitting around, talking to each other and waiting for equipments. You are not going to lose fat with that kind of workout! You need to have a planned workout with time to start and time to finish. You need to keep your heart rate up, and you need to sweat. So, instead of “working out” in your gym for two hours, write down a 30 minutes workout routine and stick with it. Keep your heart rate up. You could add some magic trick: drink ice cold water. You body would need to generate a heat therefore burning more calories.

I like to exercise on empty stomach too. I think the other reason is that if you eat before exercise you may become more sleepy (do yo think you could exercise after thanksgiving dinner?)

Thanks for the tip stevetan. I don't usually use supplements but it might help other dieters who wants to burn more fat during their workout. Of course, it would work best to those who want to build big muscles.

If you learn to do deep breathing exercises you elevate your metabolism and that allows the weight loss process to work better during exercise

Haha the weird thing is that when I am full, I get sleepy! I know it's not good and I try so hard to walk around and start stretching when that happens because I know that I will be in trouble if I don't fight it. I do like exercising on empty stomach because I am uncomfortable moving a lot when I am full.

The ice-cold water trick will not work. Your body uses up more energy
cooling down than heating up. If you want to play tricks, increase
testosterone with tongkat ali. And if you want a simple solution, try
the Serge Kreutz diet.

I read that slow and steady cardio exercises for 45 mins to 1 hour is low intensity but burns fats and not carbs so it's really, really good. I did a research on best exercises to help burn fats on the legs and hips because these are my problem areas and step aerobics is the one I liked because it's not only easy to do but also very effective. It's a good cardio exercise that can help you burn about 400 calories in 30 minutes!

Wow, I could never exercise on an empty stomach. My workouts are so hard that I would pass out...lol. I do low carb, which in turn keeps the glucose in my blood low, thus I can eat and still work on only burning fat. My best workouts are M/W/F I weight lift and then hit both the treadmill and bike. The theory is that the weight lifting uses up any excess glucose in the blood and then the cardio can focus only on fat.
