1. No pain, no gain - muscles pains are normal during exercise but if you start having other pains like bone pain, tendon strains, joint pain, muscle strains, you should stop since it will only get worst if ignored.

2. There is one best way to exercise - Don't focus on one exercise routine. The best fitness strategy is to vary exercises and routines.

3. The more you sweat, the more calories you burn - Not true. Your body sweats in order to maintain normal body temperature. Sweating is the body way of cooling itself after storing heat and it's not related to how much calories or energy you spent.

4. Drinking Water Causes Cramps - False. cramps is a symptom of dehydration and drinking water helps reduce the risk of experiencing cramps.

5. Lifting weights can make women bulky - False. Women does not have enough male testosterone to build large muscles.

6. Exercise will help you lose weight - Not necessarily. You will lose fat but you will also gain lean tissues, which is a good thing. You may gain weight because your body composition has changed but this time, you will look fit.

7. You may target a specific area of your body to lose fat - False. It's impossible to lose body fat in a specific region. The areas of the body the gains fat the fastest is the last area to lose it. The most difficult area to trim for most men is the abdominal region. In women, buttocks, hips and thighs are the troubled areas.

Lifting weights can make women bulky - False. Women does not have enough male testosterone to build large muscles. I agree. We discussed this on a separate thread too and I'm glad to know that this myth is not true.

I read that drinking 8 glasses of water a day is not advisable? Is that true? I think the article mentioned you only drink water when you're thirsty or something.

No pain, no gain It's best to listen to your body. When you reach your limit, your body will definitely react. It's not good to push yourself even further. You'll just injure yourself.

That's true. Also, I didn't know that this is a myth: "The more you sweat, the more calories you burn". I always thought that if I sweat, it means I used up more energy. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought this was true.
