Pilates is a set of exercises that was created by a man who worked in a war hospital. He helped bed-ridden and non-ambulatory patients strengthen their core muscles as well as other muscles. He found that it was also a cardiovascular exercise which helped these inactive patients lose weight. Check out Pilates. you don't need the machine to do the basic exercises. Some say it's better than yoga, but I like to mix yoga and Pilates.
A well balanced diet is best, avoid weight-loss diets because they don't work. Eat healthy. Avoid foods and beverages that contain high fructose corn syrup, for this you'll need to read labels. Eat fruits AND veggies with every meal. Don't go hungry. Eat every couple of hours. Don't eat food that comes premade. (I actually stopped eating foods that come in a box or can and lost ten pounds easily.) |
