Hello everyone
Once I started being honest with myself - I started noticing a difference: I have only 25kilos to loose and I have tried alot gimmicks (fad diets, diet pills, exercise pills, books on dieting, etc) NOTHING really worked. On Jan 10 2011 – I gave up the gimmicks and started fresh. Since Jan 10 I have lost 15 Kilos and have 10k to go. I would like to get it all off by the end of this year — it is slow progress BUT I believe that it is the best way for me. I am learning all over again how to Eat Properly and Exercise. This is what I do. - Weigh myself every Monday morning before eating – and MARK it on the Calendar that is beside my fridge — let me tell you — this is a GREAT insight and motivator to stay on eating healthy. I do not LIE to myself – I mark it how it appears even if I did not loose anything (ex. during the Easter Holidays I gained 1 kilo). - I drink 2 litres of water every day and of course my coffee (without milk) - Mon to Fridays I eat healthy – Lots of Fruits, Veggies, Fish, Chicken, Turkey or Cheese. NOT fried – all on the BBQ or Roasted in the oven. Veggies Raw or Steamed. NO Potatoes, and DEFINITELY NO Salt - Sat and Sun – I eat what I want (of course within reason) NO Fried Foods, NO desserts, MINIMAL Bread, Pasta, Potatoes, Rice, and of course DEFINITELY NO Salt but I allow myself Wine. I also walk or jump rope or I am now getting into Yoga (basic right now) and walk my dogs to keep fit 3-4 times a week - I want to get it to 5-6 days a week and now that the weather is better I will try to do so. Once I was able to form the habit it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Easy to stick to. It took 2 weeks before I stopped cheating but it was well WORTH IT! I have MORE Energy and always excited when I put clothes on because I feel GREAT knowing that my clothes are loose. I tell you the feeling is truly WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can do it if you are Honest with yourself - If I was able to - ANYONE can. Honestly do you realllllly need to eat (what I call) crap (cakes, chips, salty snack foods, fried foods, cream, beer (as a woman do I really want the gut - NOOOOO) on the weekend I switch to wine) Hope this helps someone out there that is also tired of spending alot of money on gimmicks -- GOOD LUCK!!!! |
