Hello everyone. I'm new here and I believe I'm in a big problem.
- I'm 17 years old, female, and weight 41 kgs. My height is 1.59 - I am under treatment, and doctors have told me I must not do any kind of sports. Moreover, they have given me an hypercaloric diet which consists of great amounts of dairy products (but not low-fat), cakes, biscuits, cupcakes, etc. - I am never hungry and the only foods I like and enjoy eating are vegetables, fruits and some cereals. I find sweets and the like cloying. (naturally, due to my age and my taste, both my parents and doctors think I have anorexia nerviosa). Despite this, I eat them as part of the treatment. - No matter whatever doctors are giving me, I'm not gaining weight. I believe the problem is I have a large percentage of fat in my body, but no muscle, that's why I don't feel HEALTHY despite the low weight! Is it just my opinion or do you also believe doctors are doing something wrong? Additional information: - I have always been thin, under-the-middle weight.I had however a great weight loss for the last 2 years - I'm a vegetarian (my parents still force me to eat fish once a week) - I'm from Argentina, not from the States. Thank you! |
