Default Avoiding Extra Skin
I'm really worried about having extra skin when I lose weight, because I know I wouldn't be able to afford to have it surgically removed. I'm wondering if there's anything I can do while working out that will help tighten it so I don't have to worry about there being an excess?

Thanks.

i do not think you can do much about this, perhaps adding muscle after weight loss or toning. I had a friend in the same boat was all she worried about.

I have thought about this from time to time, I think the answer to avoiding extra skin is to moderate the weight loss, this gives the body extra time for the skin to tighten back up. I believe there are also some skin care products that help the skin remain tight.

I agree with KorbinD. Extra skin happens after losing weight too quickly. Make sure you exercise regularly program while dieting to tone up your muscles in order to avoid this.

My friend also had these extra skins (belly, arms and legs) because she lost too much weight in a short amount of time. She didn't do much exercise either so that explains why she had them. I agree that exercise is the best solution for this. Even if you already have them, you can still reduce the skin by doing some tone up exercises on the said region.

You can do cardio and aerobic exercises 30 minutes a day. You can also apply some lotion to boost your skin's elasticity. Tightening up your muscles to prevent losse skin takes time so be patient. Good luck

The loose skin is inevitable with that amount of weight loss, and with the pregnancies. Many people have this surgically corrected after losing the weight. In some cases, insurance may have to cover it because of the risk of skin infection and break down.
