Default Food on cruise/holidays
Hey, my mum is interest in going on atkins but seeing as she's going on a cruise for two weeks she's a bit worried about what to eat and if this is possible.

Any advice or people who went on holiday on atkins

Oh... a cruise is the EASIEST place to eat low carb!!! The choices are endless. There will be plenty of temptations, but if she's commited to staying low carb, it won't be a problem.

Things I have done:

Eggs of all kinds for b'fast... plus cheeses and grilled tomato

Salad plus meats for lunch... or scoops of tuna/chicken/egg salad, taco toppings as a salad, sliced meats like roasted turkey or beef. Check out the grill area for burgers, brats, chicken, steaks... top with burger toppings like lettuce, tomato, onions, salsa, guacamole, pickles, etc.

Dinner.... ask for "no starch, extra steamed veggies on the side". Ask for fresh veggies and ranch for dipping instead of the bread basket. Ask for shrimp cocktail for an appetizer if there's nothing low carb... get the clear soup... a green salad. For dessert, ask for fresh berries and coffee.

Seriously... eating low carb and LOVING it is very easy on a cruise.
