I'm reading your menu for the day, Tracy, and I'm slightly jealous of the raspberries. They sound sooo yum, but I just finished my own salad with chicken and cheese. Working in a shopping mall means limited take out choices, and I'm so busy that I hardly have time to prepare meals ahead, but I can usually make do. The salad was both good and filling.

Wish I could have gotten out and run this morning. The hubs chest pains were bugging him again this morning, so my run turned into a walk and wasn't nearly so fulfilling. I might leave him at home to rest tomorrow. I'll make do with some ladder climbing at the store tonight. Up and down 20 times or so. You make do. Right?

I hope everyone else is getting on well today!

Still hanging in there...spent all morning preparing next week's meals..it's SO much easier, for me. to eat on plan if I don't have to stop what I'm doing and cook something whenever I'm hungry...

All the Easter candy went home with SnicksD last night so she can set up the granddaughter's Resurrection Basket...So all temptation has been removed...

Tonight's meal was pork roast, fresh steamed green beans and a salad with red bellpeppers...and for desert (because I earned it) a cuppa coffee sweetened with sf hazelnut syrup, cream and Splenda..

Plan on going to bed early, right after my last walk of the day with my year old terrier mix pup...

Want to wish all of you the Happiest of Easters...I plan on spending the day celebrating big time...'cause HE IS RISEN....PRAISE GOD...

Default Atkins-Only April challenge - WHO'S WITH ME??
hey folks!

so, for that last ...i don't want to admit how long, i have been cruising along, having a "bit of this or that", and not really losing. i haven't gained (much!) either, but i don't want to maintain at this weight! (77kgs)

so, i am starting my own atkins-only april challenge...strategically placed in april becasue it's easter-chocolate time, and made a new Topic, because i'm hoping for some buddies to keep me accountable.

for all you stickin'-to-it newbies, and all those who have willpower of steel (MERLOT) - i hope you will join me too, even though you may not need the motivation...just because i DO! (self-centred, i know, but i really need to get myself out of this rut!)

so, for me, the challenge is 30 net carbs a day, and only up to the berry rung (as in, the veg, nuts and berries). nothing else, like "other fruits, higher carb veggies, or grains or legumes). the atkins site lists winter squash (pumpkin here in australia!!!) as a "highercarb veggie", so i'm ditching the pumpkin too. i've known it WAS higher carb, but ate it in small protions....just gonna stop that one for the month of april for now.

anyway, enough chatter. anyone with me??? (pleeeaassee?)

ME....ME....I WANNA....Where do I sign up?

Tracy,
You have NO idea just how much I needed this challenge...Easter candies are just waaaaaaaaaaay too tempting...
My little coasting period was nice...like you I was enjoying a bit of this and a bit of that too...but it's time to really get serious again..SO....you're on..30 carbs it is...AND...just to throw in an extra challenge (mostly for myself) NO LAST MINUTE goodies....

oh, yeah, you certainly can if you like...i may if i see some progress - but you all know my start-weight, so *when* it drops, i'll certainly let you know

oh, and im not having any atkins bars either. want to be as *clean* as possible, since i don't actually know how they affect me

Sounds like a great idea Tracy! My hub and I did this starting the week after my birthday because we had splurged a bit that week. It made a huge difference and going back to induction helped me shed about 10 pounds in a little over two weeks. Nice.

I hope everyone does well in April!

hello Challengers,

it's april first for me - so i'm having raspberries and cream, (with chicken) for breakfast (isn't atkins GRAND?)

the rasp are because we had passover last night (Messianic) and one of our gorgeous little home-groupies brought a "tracy-friendly" dessert - raspberries and cream...there they were, left over in the fridge, and so i thought i'd give myself an extra-antioxidant boost this morning with breakfast.

all atkins-friendly...also having water, supplements and green tea.

no, i won't post every meal! just excited about Day 1!

hey Challengers - after reading the thread on atkins.com (i know, i know, enough about it already! but i can't help it!) called "why do stalls happen? here is what i've learned), reading through it and working it all out - i have lost 2 kgs! (4.5 pound ish).

very happy with april so far!
