I was wondering if anyone else out there is having an issue similar to mine. Between 2003 and 2007 I was on Atkins and lost a total of 90 pounds. I went off to college, and was unable to maintain the low carb lifestyle while adjusting, and put 50 pounds back on since. I have been on phase 1 of the diet for 2 weeks, being very strict about it, but I have not seen any significant weight loss like I had before. I remember when I first started it in '03, I dropped about 15 pounds in my first two weeks. I have yet to break the 5 pound mark after more than 2 weeks and it seems to be much slower than before. I read that Atkins has changed their way of counting carbs in terms of glycogen count in their products since I have stopped using them (they subtract glycogen count from total carbs now instead of just sugar alcohols and dietary fiber). Could this new way of counting carbs on their products be the difference for me? I do have about one bar and one shake per day.
