We had an amazing nutrition professor for our *mandatory* nutrition class in med school. He actually printed out a list of foods with potassium in them by order of potassium concentration. Bananas were mediocre in their concentration... the BEST natural source of potassium turns out to be....
ALMONDS! Something we *can* have on Atkins. Yay! BTW, did you know most medical schools don't offer a nutrition course... and those that do usually offer it as an elective? To me, that is just insane... how can you talk to your patients about nutrition if you don't even take a class? The school I went to is rare in that it requires a passing grade in that class as part of graduation requirements. |

Here's a neat list of potassium rich table foods. http://www.weightlossforall.com/potassium-rich-food.htm
Each food on this list is 100g per serving (not actual serving sizes, just the amount they chose for comparison sake). Tril |
