Default Biotin
I've been taking biotin supplements to grow out my hair (2500 mcg per day), but today I was reading the bottle and it says "Biotin is an essential B vitamin that is involved in the immediate metabolism of carbohydrates" What does that mean??? Is it impacting my Atkins diet???

The B vitamins are necessary for the metabolism of carbohydrate... that's why they tell people who are "tired" to take a B complex, it (supposedly) helps them get more energy from the carbs they eat. Since you're not eating many carbs, the B vitamins not needed for carb metabolism (or another function) are simply passed through your body. That's why they say that taking too many vitamins is just making expensive pee... if your body can't use it (can't absorb it or just doesn't need it) then you'll pee it out. LOL
