Low and behold I've gotten a stomach virus so Im going to have to go off atkins for a few days at least until my stomach is setttled. My partner has the same thing too. Will it be hard to get back into keo once you have been out. I'm drinking ensure and other things just to get things down.. I'm also taking meds for the virus..

Just curious--why do you think you need to go off of Atkins when you have a stomach virus?
There are lots of low carb options that are easy on your stomach. If it's doctor's orders, that's one thing. But here are some things I've had when I've had the stomach flu: scrambled or poached eggs, chicken broth, vegetable broth, ginger tea sweetened with Splenda, sugar-free jello, low carb yogurt, sugar free popsicles. Glaceau Smart Water has added electrolytes, but no carbs in case you can't keep anything down and are getting dehydrated. |
