Another reason why you might lose inches but not weight is the fact, that as fat is removed from your cells, it is temporarily replaced by water, until the cell walls can shrink. And water is MUCH heavier than fat. After some period of time, differing from person to person (usually, no less than a week or two) the water is released in a process affectionately known here as "the whoosh" (hence the "Whoosh Fairy"). Normally, you lose alternating between weight and inches, never both at the same time.

As for Atkins bars, please read about sugar alcohols in the FAQs. They have no effect on some, but they completely stall others - everything depends on how carb-sensitive you are.
Thanks Bluehex! I didn't know that water weighs more than fat and how it replaces fat until cell walls shrink. Or about the whoosh and alternating between weight & inchess. You are one smart cookie.

I think I have to stop the bars. They are stalling me. Gonna have to find another thing to look forward to. Thanks again
