Default Losing weight for my job.
Hi everybody, Im not sure if this comes up much. I am currently 177 pounds and 6'2.5" Ft or 188Cm Tall. I am in the modeling business currently. I had an agent in LA then this February I weighed 188 and my agents told me I had to lose weight if I wanted to work. So I got down to about 180 by April and they sent me here to Seoul Korea to work as a model, Ive been here for 1 month and have not been dieting but still losing weight very gradually.. I wasnt really taking care of my body in Feb and was letting my weight slip. So.. Heres my deal, after my contract in Seoul I may be sent to Paris, but I am barely fitting clothes here in Seoul and I have litteraly broken at least 6 buttons on pants in one month because they are so tight.. Now I know in Paris the clothes are going to be even skinnier, I guess Paris has the skinniest clothes in the world. So I have one month to get prepared. I am going to start the Atkins diet tommorow and see how it goes. I have a pretty bad sweet tooth so it should be interesting..

-So should I expect to also lose around 15 - 20 pounds in the first two weeks like many people here?
-Could you give me some insight or prediction? Im assuming its going to be different for me than most because Im starting at a lower weight but maybe I am wrong.
- Is it possible for me to get around 160, I think anything under 160 may be unhealthy.

Nice to meet everyone Thanks in advance.

I wouldnt go by the scale so much as how you look/feel. You are already at a healthy weight and most like don't need to lose ANYTHING. Please check in with a doctor first.

I think 160 lbs and 188cm tall might be a bit "manorexic" -- I assume that you are male.

After seeing a doctor, try doing induction and work out every day. You will see results, full stop.

Good luck!

p.s. lose weight for yourself - not for your job; fashion industry, boss etc. that way you will have a better chance to keep it off! 8)

Paris! I am so jealous! I love Paris.

Your goal weight: If you have average muscle build, and go by the BMI (Body Mass Index), you could get as low as 146 without being considered underweight.

http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/

Normal weight for your height would be 146 to 196, so the middle would be 171.

Rate of weight loss: You definitely won't lose weight as quickly as someone who has a hundred pounds to lose. It's unlikely that you will lose 20 pounds in two weeks. You might lose at least ten, though.

I suggest that you go on Induction for two weeks and don't cheat even once. Be sure you are also exercising at least 30 minutes at least five days per week. Stick to the Acceptable Foods list:

Let us know how you are doing. We want you to succeed.
