having had a bit of interest in numerology lately...
i've developed a basic understanding of the meanings of the primary numbers 1-9 as well as a few others.

i've explored a few of the larger numbers which are well known to be of great esoteric significance. i will list these before i do a few basic operations to them and show how often nine appears. honestly... i wouldn't have written this... but it just seems as if nines just keep screaming at me every time i do this... and i'm using numbers very well known to have esoteric significance.




117 = 9*13 number of scales on a chinese dragon.
81 = 9*9 number of the those scales which are benevolent also, number of chapters of the tao te ching.
36 = number of remaining scales( which are malevolent )


144 = 12*12, and the 12th fibonacci number. i believe david referenced this before as having to do with light.
108 = 12*9 number of beads on malas used in the dharmic religions. each god also has 108 names.

540 = 108*5 number of doors on valhalla (nordic mythology)



171 (19*9) is interesting as well... it is the sum of the divisors of 108 other than 1 and itself. i think some people call it void?


anyway, you'l notice that when you add the digits of them together... they all equal nine. here's some other basic math between them that's cool...

do any sort of basic operations between them, you'l get multiples of 9.
(of which all the digits themselves all sum to 9)
18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 90
or, you can easily derive the big numbers from eachother. multiply them and the digits will still sum to 9 or sometimes 18


now watch this!!!

540 = 108+144+171+117

well... i hope i'm not crazy here, but maybe somebody else can help me on the significance of all this?

humm. interesting.
one to nine based on egyptian 'cabala' map that burst forth in another way in jewish mysticism, (though not understood as confused with 10). however also used by arabs to create our present system. romans were using one through six and it got awful with any calculation.
few understand how arbitrary much of our math is. we see set-in-stone very arbitrary decisions made in the 1600s and early 1700s. as sort of 'limit of nine' i would google enneagram.
as hurtak (spelling? keys of enoch) showed the book of numbers in bible very important, gives 12 sine ratios showing shape of great pyramid.
i keep going back to an early.... errrrrr, word is not 'sutra' but close..., section of koran with emphasis on 19. sacred number of islam.
so far the work done in combining the 9 of enneagram with '10'?'9' of cabala has not been satisfactory.
understand that many psychologists use enneagram's 9 as best indicator of personality that there is. only problem so far is that it is not 'logical' as to how derived.
feel there is more here in this for you. angel on another thread below, pineal gland, helped me and i had 'visions' that helped with math problem.

nine is a chalice, plentiful and full because 9 comprehends all number before it. nine bears no further number, so 9 is free to be. but 9 must complete all that has been, and all that was balanced by 8. nine integrates and assimilates, and having comprehended all before it, 9 must let go of all it has been.

begotten only by 3, 9 fulfills what began at 3. like 3, 9 is perfect in and of itself. nine's symbol is the flip of 6. through the mean of 6, infused spirit married in form, 9 reorients 3's plane of space. three is horizontal, dedicated to birth life; 9 is vertical, integrous to source. as the second square (3 x 3), an odd square, 9 masters time. but any number that 9 begets will reduce back to 9 (9 x 8 = 72; 7+2 = 9); thus 9 must always face itself, reducing whatever it does back to itself, until it is pure. nine must own as its own all that is and all that it experiences, and yet must give it all away. as 3 plus 3 and 3 again, 9 is chained, but when 9 is ready, alchemically pure, 9 transcends and becomes an unbounded being. nine is done.
