I'm still on the fence about the .338, I like my 30-06 just fine, I am trying to justify spending the money but its not gonna get past Mamma. lol

30/06 is - to my thinking - a damn fine ctg.

Lapua----specialized : extremely so. Specially reinforced cases, muzzle brakes (on some) : all to the good if you are picking off enemies at 500-600 yards, and don't mind a heavy manageable rifle, or a lighter hard-kicking one. (Did I mention ear protection ?)
