Default Wow. I underestimated him. He is smart.
My life is so revolved around Serenity, I seem to put Sunny to the side at times and I forget how good of a dog he is. Lately I've been trying really hard to work with them both, separately. I'm trying to do more things with Sunny.

Anyway. They know there basic 'Sit, down, come' but I was working on it to make the commands more solid. They don't know heel and I have always wanted to teach a dog that, I've never had a dog that did that (I've only had one dog before these two).

I was working with heel with Serenity. She did alright, it took her a little to understand what I wanted from her and she still screwed up a lot. Of course I expected this, I'm only just starting to teach heel.

I thought I'd give up on Sunny after a few seconds of trying heel. I never liked training him as I get frustrated with him quite quickly. Well.. He had heel down after a short amount of time. He'd correct himself if he got out of place. By the end of it, he was walking nicely next to me no problem and this was after about 10 minutes of working on heel.

I was amazed. Who knew Sunny, the dog who I thought was an idiot learnt heel before Serenity, who I see as the smarter one (I'm sure their smarter in their own way when it comes to certain things). Clearly shows Sunny is smarter then I thought and I'm looking forward to working with him more.

It may not seem like a big deal to people but Sunny is now 5. I didn't like training him because he just annoyed me with the way he acted when we trained but training him more lately, I'm regretting not giving him a better chance earlier on.

I am just super proud of him.

I'm the oppostite of you. My dog Jojo takes up about 5% of my day. I'll walk him and feed him but that's about it usually. I have a "life" to attend to. I just give you chicks credit to devote your live's to your pets like you do.

Oh... men that think they are witty, but they are really RUDE. So refreshing.

I'm pretty sure Tahla and Bill make fun of each other all the time and it's a mutual thing not meant to be rude, you need to grow some thicker skin if you think that was offensive...

Thediva; Ya, I wouldn't worry about Bill. He's a jerk =P He's just angry I don't focus all my attention on him, since he wants me so badly.

Trust me, nothing on this forum offends, bothers, or worries me... I save those feelings for people I actually interact with in person! =) If "so refreshing" didn't indicate tongue in cheek, I don't know what would have!

Tahlia knows I tease her, but what I said is true. BTW I walked Jojo in the beach today also. AND caught a fish trapped in a tidal pool with my bare hands and let it go. Top that. Thediva, don't worry, I'll make time for you too!
