To each their own. Just one thing to say.... According to you I am trash but your the one being rude to me. I treat everyone on here with respect and you should too. It's fine to state your opinion but to go out of your way to 'attack' me... It shows who the real trash is. |

Pretty funny to get a permanent tattoo of a dog you have had for a month or two. What if it turns out to be a terrible dog? It is possible What if her dog was a Lab, would it be okay to you then? ![]() |

I would never get my future husband on me or his name marriage is to temporary now a days.
I don't have kids yet but when I do they will be on my body in some way. Just like my mom, my brother, my dad, my grandpa, my grandma, and my dog. I'm going to school for dog behavior and the only way in hell I would give up my dog would be of he bit someone. And I don't have other pets. And he shows no sign of aggression at all. And I don't plan on having other pets if he does turn dog aggressive. So to recap he will be with me unless he bites a human. |

Jamielvsaustin - The one on the forearm looks AWESOME! I just love it. I'm not a colour person but that one really catches my attention. I'm not one for humans as tattoos on people, but the other piece did turn out nice. Not my personal cup'o'tea, but I'm not ignorant enough to assume that that means NO ONE should think that way... Like sooooome people do!
![]() Bashkins - I'm not a portrait person, I'm extremely boring and picky when it comes to my tattoos (its'a different kind of trashy, not as bad as bullseyes, but loads better than arrogant douchebag without tattoo ![]() I get where some people are coming from, it's a pretty bold choice to get such a big piece of a dog you haven't had very long, but its your body and you choose what you want on it. I'd love to see pics of it done! ![]() Oh and I have the dh's name on me, so I guess that takes my level of trashiness to a whole other level! ![]() ![]() |

If your dog turns out to be a dud, which it probably won't, you can have the tat. to remind you of what the dog was like before turning into a dud, just kidding. Funny how the internet brings out the best of people... Keep your chin up dude, and make sure you put up pictures of that pup as he grows. I for one absolutely love him, super cute/unique. -And on a side note, body art is becoming more and more accepted in society. As long as you can do it without affecting your job/kids and what not, I feel it's a personal choice. Give it another 20 years and there will be no need to cover them up for job interviews. |

ya, I don't think the OP needs to be bashed for her choice to put a tattoo on her body, of her dog. Christ.
I wouldn't have done it so early on of one of my dogs but everyone is different. It's not you who has to live with the tattoo's some one else puts on their body. O, and, I'm the sort of person who would rather my dogs tattooed on my rather then family, lol. Most of my family have family names on them, I'm getting my dogs named tattooed on me, one day; the family names just don't seem that important. Though, I plan to wait a bit longer because I don't know exactly what I want, I also want Serenity to be older. Plus, I'm not %100 I want to be tattooed, I'm a chicken! Anyway, I still love the tattoo you got and I can't wait to see the finished product! |

Actually my original post was edited due to content. Maybe the lower back tattoo comment was a little over the top but I feel strongly that part of the breeds problem these days is it's association and attraction to a stereotypical type of owner, and while I personally have tattoos and have no objection to them, the thought of putting a thigh sized tat of a dog someone has had for what a month or two makes me think, well, mistake.
The title of the post is "I finally did it" that title infers that this has been under consideration for some time, then finally acted on, but since the dog is about 14 weeks old, based on info from another posting, I tend to think this was sort of impulsive. Of course most tattoos are. In any case say what you want but if you post a picture of your tatted up thigh on an internet forum, at least please be prepared for honest opinions. Even if you are not in agreement. It is your thigh and I will defend your right to tattoo yourself with anything you like, but if I think you are playing into a stereotype that furthers negativity of the breed by association then I will exercise my right to comment. Wear a dress and go some nice restaurant with your thigh size pit bull tattoo, and while it is your right, it is also the right of most people to think what they want. What they think doesn't do our breed any favors. |

Do you ever have anything nice to say on this forum? Good god. It isn't only the dogs that are getting a bad rap. It gets to the point that in business or other quote "respectable circles" it is hard to say you have a pit bull only because that causes people to make assumptions about you as a person and the dog tatts don't do much to raise the image of pit bull owners as responsible people but does more to reinforce the stereotype of the pit bull being a trailer trash, beer drinking, low income, breed of choice. Sorry but that is the way it is. |

Nobody looks at me and thinks omg what a horrible nasty poor excuse for a person. I can cover ALL of my tattoos. And finally did it was related to a post from 2 weeks ago. It was not impulse and every tattoo I have has a meaning. I'm not trailer trash. I live on 10 acres of land in my own house,I don't drink beer, between my boyfriend and myself we live very comfortably, and I chose this breed bc of their loyalty and love for kids. I have all that and I'm only 22. So before you go judging get the facts straight. Like said previously I don't have to defend myself to you. And I'm prepared for criticism but your being rude you can disagree and keep some damn dignity.
