Default What does your dogs name mean?
Someone ask what Ronon meant and I didn't have a clue. He was named after a tv character so I got curious and started looking them up.

This is according to google!

Casper- Treasurer Persian
Ronon- Little Seal Celtic/Irish
Riddick- Farm where Reeds grow English
Circe- Bird Greek In Greek mythology Circe was a sorceress who changed Odysseus's crew into hogs but was forced by him to change them back.
Jack- God is Gracious Hebrew
Rocky- Stoney English. Could also be a form of Rocco which is German and means Battle Cry
Ripley- Shouting man's meadow English
Pongo- couldn't find a meaning other than Dalmatian!

Harley: Hare meadow; the long field; rocky meadow

Keela: Beautiful My fiance actually wanted to call her Tequila, but I told him no way and we settled for Keela as a short for of the word. I had no idea it even had a meaning, but beautiful is perfect!

Ginger: Spring-like; flourishing

Cleo is short for her registered name, Queen Cleopatra. It means "Glory of the father".

Torque of course means "The moment of force", or "A twisting force". Which fits him perfectly.

Bo (Mr. Bojangles) was named after the song, not sure if there's a meaning for his name.. but love the band.
Ember means burning low, or spark...
Sheba (RIP) means daughter of an oath

Interesting thread

Baloo: Baloo is the fictional bear in Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book.

It isn't a real name and doesn't have a real meaning. Ha

Peanut (short for Peanut Butter)

according to google this is what Peanut is
pea·nut/ˈpēnət/

Noun:
  1. The oval seed of a South American plant, eaten as a snack or used for making oil or animal feed.
  2. A paltry thing or amount, esp. a very small amount of money.
funnier though is this part-Synonyms: groundnut - monkey nut

Here's what I found for mine!

Ruger - See Rueger, German surname..
Rueger
  1. from a reduced form of the personal name Rüdeger (see Rudiger).
  2. nickname or metonymic occupational name from Middle High German rüegaere,rüeger ‘complainer’, ‘informant’, ‘plaintiff’.

Jolene - A feminine form of Joseph from Middle English, it retains Joseph's Hebrew meaning of "He (God) will increase"

Bukra - I picked his name for the meaning! It means "tomorrow"

Cali \c(a)- li\ as a girl's name is a variant of Calista (Latin, Greek) and Callie (Greek), and the meaning of Cali is "cup; fairest, most beautiful; beautiful, lovely".
